Just one gopher today

I was out and about early this morning, saw some leaves and pine needles moving around. I set up my gear and ranged the target at 17 yards, now just give me a little more, nope had to wait about 5 minutes for it to start pushing up dirt and then I could see the back of it's head....squeezed the trigger and it disappeared. I was sure I had got a hit, I went over to the hole and it had just slid down inside a little. Got my little mechanical finger tool and fished it out. I spent about an hour looking for more action , but that was it for today.

Well done Arrowhead, I still haven’t seen mine just the holes it leaves lol. Did get a house sparrow today though, and it made my day because it was a dangerous and edgy hunt that I nearly didn’t survive. It came right down to him or me again, I’m sure you know what I mean because you are always at battle. We are very brave men I think!

Mr. davelarson,

Yes, it is a very serious endeavor we engage in, pesting is not for the weak or fearful!!! I thank you for your continuing diligence to remove the vermin in our yards, it is a thankless job, but someone has to do it. Your weapon of choice puts fear in their mind as they realize their life is just about to end. Impressive marksmanship and great picture.

Good luck with your pesting, stay healthy and safe
