Tuning Just not my day...

You have the 960 tune setup for the day and it turns out to be a 540 day head scratcher until you take your FX Maverick apart. My day today...

Sometimes you are just not on point and have to admit it. Silly me. As it turns out, the Ernest Rowe dual port put in upside-down with my no option small "P" (pellet) hole at 180*, will provide you with a consistent 540fps in .22. Scope had to be adjusted to +7 mrad from my zero compensate @50.

I did learn something though. NSA 27.5gr Slugs @540 are very accurate (dime size) at 50yrs!!! Who da thunk?

C'est la vie ;)

;^) Yup, we all do things that are not overly helpful to our guns or ammo every now and then. It can be a bit surprising when we figure out what we did. It's not always so easy to find as in your case though.

I mixed up some JSB 15.89 and 18.13 pellets in a tin a while back. Couldn't figure out why my groups opened up all of a sudden. It took me near a hundred shots to figure it out. :^0

I shot the NSA 33.5 in 25 at 740fps at 100 yards and got lots of .5 inch groups. I was quite surprised, at the velocity, when I shot over the chrony. The 150 yard groups were horrible and there was evidence of keyholing though.
