Just installed Air-Fective shroud on Crown

I received my carbon fiber shroud for my .25 Crown yesterday. Installed it last night and zeroed it today. I used my 25 yard back yard range and only had to move the windage 1 click and elevation 2 clicks to get back my 25 yard zero. Installation time 10 mins tops and no special tools needed. I weighed the old shroud and parts you have to remove and weighed the new shroud. The new shroud is 4 oz. and the old shroud is 7.5 oz. that's 3.5 oz. saved if that matters.

The reason I changed shrouds I just could not get used to sliding the shroud back and forth like a trombone it really bugged me. I know I could of just locked down the factory shroud but I wanted to try the Carbon Fiber shroud. I installed a Donny FL Sumo very quite and a little shorter.

After I placed order it took a little longer than 3 weeks very quick and packaged very well. Air-Fective is a great company to deal with.

Looks great!

I’ve been eyeing up their shrouds as well.

Looks like yours is the matte finish? They don’t seem to have any pics of the matte on their website. What do you think of the finish? Is it a painted finish on the carbon fiber? Do you mind posting a couple more close ups? Any barrel droop?

sorry for all the questions but that is exactly how I want my crown to look. I just worry that all the extra handling of the sliding shroud could cause poi problems.
