Just bought this CX2 portable compressor

Bought it on Amazon last week, came today, opened the box, un packed, looked it over, hooked up the power converter and installed the Handle/ pre-filter, no oil, no water needed, pre-lubed from factory with grease, fired it up with test plug, shut it off at 300 bar, no problems, this is a manual shut off version, added a oil/ water separator and fill probe, filled my Uragan 5.3 liter bottle from 100 bar to 250 bar in 10 minutes, it works and it's fairly quiet, kinda funky sounding, but it works, I'm going to do a proper break in on it with short runs and long cool offs till it's ready, it's just going to be used for topping off the rifles,

so far I like it

I'm gonna have to try it on 12 volt and see how it does.

You're pulling our leg right?

That little thing will deliver 5.3 liter x 150 bar = 795 liters of compressed air in 10 minutes?

Second one they sent was in tact but the darn gauge just completely blew off- service has been great as they are sending me a THIRD one - we shall see.....

Wow, third one, is your Delivery guy using it as a bowling ball? Tire stop? Fly swatter?😜

I hope the third one shows up ok, mine came intact and no damage, but it did come late.

I've had one for 6 months and so far it's working well for me. I would like to find out if/how it can be converted from grease to oil lubrication though.

Maybe the guys at JSAR might help you, they're the one's who are doing the conversions, if I remember right.,.... it would make a good thread, "how to convert your GX pump to oil".......

Most of the filters are the same, it comes with a small filter, you could make it thread on or put a fosters male fitting, 10mmx1 thread, for a removable in line filter, I use a large filter for humid days and the small filter for low humidity days, I always start the compressor with the bleed valve open, you don't have too, but never start it with pressure in the line, I open the bleed valve when it reaches full pressure before shutting off the compressor, I do this to make sure it purges any moisture from the compressor internals along with the air in the line. Don't use it to fill large tanks, 500cc is about the largest, don't run it longer than specified in the instructions, 10 minutes is about the longest I run mine and let it cool for 10 minutes or more depending on how hot it get and heat of the day.
