Just bought a Yong Heng, is this filter moisture filter adequate?

yeah ..just locate it higher, and keep it vertical, moisture will pool in the bottom ... it would be wise as you go along to directly screw that hose in the outlet and lose the brass fosters and replace the one on the end with steel if your filling to 4500 .. its likely got a 10mm straight thread, most chinese origin bargain hoses use that, so if you buy an extension hose with steel fittings youll have one ...

I think he's saying to locate the filter in a low position and have what you are filling be in a higher position. Vertical is good so the outlet is pointing upward. But you want a low spot in the line before the filter so any water can pool there. After filling I would take the cap off or remove the element to let it dry.

Often the included filter is adequate, but having more doesn't hurt (other than extending fill time) and may be needed if there's excessive humidity. 

Which yong heng do you have? 

There is a possibility it is enough if you live an an arid area. Otherwise if there is much humidity it likely isn't enough.

Easy to tell, install your Yong Heng filter at the inlet to your new filter, and just check the Yong Heng filter, if it is more than just slightly damp after ten or twenty minutes of use then you need more.

More is usually better though. You don't want moisture in yer guns or tanks.

Some media, molecular sieve and others may react with the aluminum and cause damage to it. I don't know which ones react so just use filters with a cartridge that does not allow the material to contact the cylinder walls.

Also note that the max pressure is stated at 300bar - I hope that's max working pressure, and not absolute max pressure. OTOH, at least they published a number.

I believe it would be enough. I'm running one that's the same size but I've "customized" the filtering media. Think I paid the same price & it's worked fine. I use the filter that came with my Yong Heng connected to the 2nd, larger filter. I'm in So Cal & haven't seemed to have had any moisture issues. 

NOTE: Had to edit in interst of safety. Mine is steel, not aluminium.

The compressor you bought has some different features than the Yong Heng I bought in June. There are some who try and pass off Yong Heng clones, so, to be safe, I'd contact seller and make sure this compressor was manufactured by Yong Heng Pneumatic Company, just like it says on bottom of my Yong Heng manufacturing plate. I agree and all the accessories are the same as the big head knockoff I just bought. Nothing like the stuff that came with my yong heng.

Tighten the head bolts before running it.

Been following this forum about a year, even though some grumblers, vast majority are very positive on the Yong Heng. Can't recall anyone singing the praises of the knockoffs. Your call, but I'd recommend an original Yong Heng. I'd drop this seller as he clearly tried to deceive by printing Yong Heng in his ad. I used best-homepro, on eBay, if that helps. Type "Yong Heng," in the SEARCH section of this forum, you'll find lots of helpful information. Biohazardman is a Yong Heng expert, pay close attention to what he shares. WM
