Awww....c'mon Hawk, where's yer sense of adventure?? I thought that it was hot here at touching 100°, ya got us beat by a lot. Stay cool and shoot straight....that is when it's cooler.

When I worked at Motorola on night shift in Mesa 35 years ago I remember 105 at 2am. It was cooler out in the desert (San Tan Mountains where I lived) away from concrete and asphalt at night though. That area is a park now though. My property was adjacent to the horse facility's in the park.

113 degrees !!!!! that's just outrageous. I could not imagine what that would feel like. We've been hanging in the mid 90's and that is killing me.

But everyone knows your ballistic coefficient improves in hot thin air. Ideal time to shoot! (But then, I am a fellow Arizonan who lives above a mile of altitude).

hawkeye69, I just had too as far as the picture! I lived in Glendale AZ for a year and my dad lives in Scottsdale-dry or wet, that is hot!

Danb hawkeye, That's unbearable. And I was feeling picked on because it was 97 here in Idaho. Hang in there! AZ is to hot for me in the summer, but we plan on taking the motorhome to EBR this year for a couple of weeks, leave it there and come back and spend Jan and Feb there away from the cold. Hope to get in on some of the club shoots and get to know more folks. Turn on the AC and crack a frosty beverage. sylvan

Yup, it gets pretty hot down Arizona. I lived there and I really miss the Sonoran desert. I loved it, but god I hated the suburban sprawl.

We've had some rain over the past several days so it's been a little cooler in the mornings, but humid. So I went out today early to a local dairy with a fellow AGN member. The action seemed slower than usual but when we went collect them, I counted 25 collared doves plus a few other flying pests all in about 2-1/2 hours. Not such a slow morning after all.

They almost filled a 5 gallon bucket. I went to take a picture with my cell phone and the LCD screen was totally whacked out, I couldn't even see the icons. Bought a new phone yesterday, so I'm thinking about using the old one for target practice.
