JSB's Simply Pellets

Ad from page 19 of Pyramyd Air catalog (Volume 20) that arrived today with pellet order. I was not aware of this product, thought I'd share.

I've seen AEAC's JSB Factory Tour video several times and the rigorous inspection process is lots of ladies using large magnifying glasses and tweezers to sort pellets prior to packaging. Are JSB's Simply pellets the rejects from this sorting process, or are they, as the ad states, just taken from machine and packaged? I guess selling the rejects dirt cheap, for kids and newbies to blast away with, as opposed to re-smelting or tossing, is an idea. Unless JSB is having pandemic labor shortage problems, I can't see selling a number of perfectly good pellets at a discount, just because you don't want to sort them from bad ones. Well, my two cents, anyway.

I've used both sizes for a year (couple years?) or more now and the lighter weight 8.02's worked really well in the IZH pistols I used to have and the heavier 8.26's worked good in a FWB 603 also.

I purchased a used .177 Red Wolf HP recently but I haven't (yet) tried shooting any wadcutters through it so I don't know if wadcutters work well through it or not. Anyone else able to comment on that?

Pellets seem to be in good shape in the tins and not all buggered up or anything. Last ones I bought through PA and had the foam packing for shipping, so no damage there.

Larrry,

I also am a proud owner of a FWB 603. Truely the best SSP air rifle. Mine really shoots ALL premium tested wadcutters about the same. It's the least pellet fussy rifle that is in my collection. I wish they still made this rifle.

WorriedMan,

Thank you. All the tins of "Simply" that I've ordered (about a dozen tins 8.02 and about 4 tins of the 8.26) have looked like the open two in my picture. I just grabbed them off the shelf this morning, opened them, took a quick picture and posted it. No sorting, etc.

On the left tin in the picture above about 3 pellets above 6 o'clock there's one with what looks like a damaged skirt but I don't really see much of anything else.

I bought them a year or two ago when they first came out at Pyramyd Air and I think they were $9.99 per tin. I haven't looked to see what they are today.
