JSB Pellets Shortage

I know there is a shortage of JSB pellets here in the US. ZAN, has plenty and the cost with shipping is cheaper than here in the US. I ordered 6 tins of .35 JSB on 1/3/2022 and they were just delivered this afternoon to MA.
ZAN has wonderful slugs and they offer pellets as well with fast shipping, DHL. I have been ordering from ZAN the past few shipments and have not been let down. The tins were packaged great and none have any dings or signs of damage.

I haven't felt the shortage much at all. I just keep an eye on the forum, and a few main vendors, and when someone says they are available, or I notice they are, I go there right away and buy 4 tins leaving the rest for others. I have been lucky and this has served me well thus far. and I have enough of a stash built up to last me several months.

Now if I can ever stop buying stuff, off of the internet, and having to wait for deliveries I may even get out to shoot some of those pellets I have stashed away.

Packaging has been good thus far except for the occasional out of character package.

Ram and SD,

Thanks for the help, I've been doing my best to get the "good news" out about ZAN, since November. Could you share a cost-per-pellet, shipping included, for those .35s? Fly had a recent thread about the high cost of .30 and .35 ammo, and I was only able to share my .30 ZAN story. Think he might appreciate ZAN's .35 JSB cost-per-pellet. Some kind of packaging job, huh? I bet they'd survive a DHL plane crash better than the black box! Thanks again, WM

I was impressed with Zan’s slugs, great quality and price. Nice to see he actually has stock of JSB’s especially the big boys.

I buy like biohazardman does. Look for the deals and buy when available. I don’t horde but I do keep a little stock on hand.

You can’t beat PA’s price when the discounts and free shipping come around.
Here’s my last order of 8 tins compared to a ZAN order I mocked up.

srtmat,

I just visited PA, to price JSBs in .25 caliber, and the cupboard is bare, nothing to buy. Price comparisons are fine, as long as there is something to buy. ZAN has all I need, right now. I don't have to wait for someone on AGN to say this company or that company has a shipment, then scramble to purchase, only to find all sold out. I'm very glad that some, like Bio and yourself, have had success using this method, unfortunately it has been an effort in frustration for many. I do appreciate those who buy in moderation so others have a chance, unfortunately the shipments seem so limited. I'm sure PA pricing programs do provide a cost advantage over ZAN, however, till PA has consistent supply, the point is moot.

Hello WorriedMan

I ordered 10 tins of .177 redesign 13.43 grain. 400 per tin, $14.35 delivered per tin.

SD

Fly posted the same thing over on GTA and was given this link to Trenier Outdoors who shows the JSB .35 cal 81.02gr pellets in stock for $14.79 a tin.

https://www.trenieroutdoors.com/ammo/jsb/jsb-match-exact-35-cal-81-02-grains-domed/

From just checking before I posted this, he still shows them in stock. I also went to the length of sticking 5 tins in a cart to come up with price plus shipping before tax which happens to be $85.90 and works out to about .17 cents per pellet. You could actually order 6 and get that $11.95 shipping. It goes up because of weight when you add a 7th. All this same info was posted in his GTA thread but he hasn't replied back as to whether he bought any from Trenier or not so not a clue whether the info helped him or not.

p.s. - Biggest gun I own is in .25 so no, I obviously did not buy any...lol.
