JSB Jumbo Beast .22cal @ 33.956gr!

Wow! They look like the .25 Mk2 heavies. Think I will order some and a heavier hammer spring for my 1st gen Marauder. It has a Hill valve, .160" transfer port and gauge block along with Huma .25 cal regulator. I'm getting 39 fpe now with 21 gr Baracuda's at around 920 fps but the hammer spring is maxed out. I wonder how fast I could push these? Only one way to find out. Thanks for posting this Z.

Ok just ordered 2 tins from Airgun Depot. Checked PA but they don't have them yet. Now just need a heavy hammer spring. This should be fun! Is it possible that my .22 Mrod could put out as much power as my .25 RAW HM1000x? Its shootin the 34 gr. Mk2 heavies at 866 fps for 56 fpe. Humm? Wouldn't get nearly as many shots that's for sure. But maybe with an SSG? Humm? Please let these be accurate pellets!

chasdicapua they made them really long. To long for most mags. I'm sure blackdiesel's Sumatra will be a hammer with these. Probably up there with the Condor. Sounds like these are to heavy for your gun but there's only one way to find out. My Mrod shoots the 15.89 gr at around 1000 fps and the 18 gr at 960 so I'm thinking it should push these around 800 ish. My order shipped so I should find out this week. I will let you know.

From Ted's Facebook page:

"It occurred to me that there are nearly NO reliable images of the JSB Jumbo Beast .22 pellets online. A google image search revealed nothing but inaccurate hits, and JSB's own artists image is that of a .25 King Heavy, NOT a Jumbo Beast .22. So, here is an ACTUAL photo of one of these new pellets (shown next to a JSB 18.1gr .22 Exact for scale).Big, eh?"

Whoa!
Need to get me some of them!
My take: The .22 cal air rifle is more common than the .25. They figure make a pellet that heavy for a larger market vs going for the smaller .25 cal market.
Well, I own a .22 in PCP and break Barrel and one of the reason why I went with .22 vs .25 is I can find .22 at 2 local sporting goods stores. Sure, Crosman, Gamo, and even Stoger, but at least they have them. Never seen .25 in the wild other than the interwebs.
Just my ought2 cents.

So I finally got to try the beast's out in my Marauder today. I was surprised at how slow they shot. The gun shoots JSB 18 at 925 fps and only pushed the 34's at an av. of 660. But I guess it stands to reason as they are almost twice the weight as the 18's. I got my new hammer springs yesterday a 10 lb and a 12 lb so I will play with those soon and see how fast I can get these to move. This gun has a Jim Gaska/TJ choked barrel so maybe the the choke is slowing these down more than the 18's? But on the up side the accuracy seems promising. I only shot about 20 rounds and ten were over the Chrony. I'm more concerned with getting the speed up and then will check accuracy.
They fit fine in the single shot tray b.t.w. and I had no trouble loading them.
