JSB Hades Accuracy and expansion testing

I was able to do a little accuracy testing of the 16 gr pellets in my ImpactX 700mm and Lelya 2.0. My Impact is tuned to shoot 18 gr, so had to turn it down to see decent accuracy. On setting 2(860 fps) I shot a .425" group and at min(750 fps) I shot a .370" group. I shot a .350" group on setting 4(890 fps) with 18 gr JSB's to verify that the gun(and myself) were shooting decently. All my shooting was done at 45 yards.

I was seeing 5/8" groups out of my Lelya at 895 fps.

I also tested expansion by shooting into a 32 oz foam cup filled with water. I surprised at how much they expanded! This was done with the Lelya @ 895 fps.

Same lid as the normal 250 tin, but I'm not sure if the production run will be different. I haven't seen any issues with bent skirts lately, but I probably get my JSB's from a different source 😉

I usually buy pellets from Pyramyd. They come very well protected inside foam and the bent skirts have been mixed throughout the tins. Doesn't appear to be shipping damage. Others have expressed the same concerns lately.

Pretty long trip from Czech republic before pyramid gets them ! And I saw a report somewhere that said they will be using up their original tin inventory before we will see the screwy lids. I've got some coming on preorder but it's already been bumped 2 weeks from original arrival date. Hope they get here first of the month for starling breeding season!!! Bet they just pop like a balloon.....lol.
