JSB 18.13gr Pellets Differences (Old Vs New)

Did anyone else experience similar kind of differences in JSB 18.13 gr pellets. I have found the following 4 differences in between my old tins/pellets and new tins/pellets.(Photos are enclosed for better understanding). When I will get free will compare their accuracy. If anyone has already tested these types of JSB please share your experiences.
  • New tins are not sealed with Red Tape.
  • New pellet's skirts are thinner than my old pellets
  • New pellets skirt's cavity is filled with more lead and not as deeper/hollow as my old pellets.
  • New pellets have long (visible) neck area which was not in my old pellets.

FWIW I've checked my tins and they are sealed with red tape. The 2016 batch are identical to the 2017 batch.

Below is a 2017 lot from die machine #47

Your new tin shows a date of 2016 and die machine #37. The cynic in me would suspect that the absence of the sealing tape and the obvious design differences you mention, would rather suggest the contents are not JSB...but I'm not an expert.

I have the exact same problem, same thin shallow skirt vs thick and deep skirt 18.13 heavies. heres the thing these two Tins were purchased in the same order from PA in August this year, both have red sealing tape. I suspect that JSB workload has reached their limit and they are using the Air arms field heavy dies to keep production up. I've bought AA heavies in the past and they all had the thin skirt variant, all JSB heavies as I remember have the thick deep skirt. That's what I think, they are using the daystate,AA,FX dies that they have on hand and are producing 18.13 heavies with the dies owned by other companies to keep up with demand. The same thing is happening with the .25 JSB Kings and I have the same 3 variants in skirt design. That's my conspiracy theory, lol.

good morning, guys you must have lived in LaLa Land.
there are many combinations of 18.1grain JSB pellets with different dies, different inserts, design changes over the years, even over months or weeks.

It is just plain wrong in my opinion too, to name the product the same way as Exact, when clearly the shape changed!

most annoying.

Perhaps if every one of us emailed the owner, things will change.

Just got in a new order from Pryamyd Air of JSB Exact .22 Heavy 18.1 gr. The tins had the red tape seal on all tins. The one main difference in the pellets is the stated diameter. My order about 4 months ago came as 5.53, and were not sealed with red tape. My new order came as 5.52. I haven't seen yet if this makes any difference in my DS Renegade. In the photos, the tin on the left is the one I received today. The pellets also look the same outside and inside as far as skirt thickness and depth.
