JSB 18.1 FPS with Impact .22 ?

hammerseat on mine is 6.20mm and should be between 6.00mm and 6.50mm

"BE_Airgunner"if you can set it like this, then it is not the valve stem.

measure the distance from the probe block to the back if the gun. Mine sits at 44.53mm. It should be between 44.40mm and 44.70mm. If it is not then the probe is misaligned.

Mine was fine on both of those tests, but still shot 880 fps. The power adjuster measured correctly too, and still has play when on max now, so that's not how they increased it.

I had also complained of the regulator gauge, because it read 130 when they say they set them to 141. Now it reads closer, maybe 145 as received. That's the only indication of anything being done other than the higher speed. I had previously turned it up to 150 indicated, which may have been more than 150, so I have to believe the pressure wasn't low before. As someone else pointed out, the online manual says not to go over 150 bar, but in the printed manual they put a sticker over the 150 and changed it to 143 bar.

If I had to make a wild guess, I'd suspect maybe there was milling debris in one of the passages that needed to be cleaned out. Just a SWAG though.

Cheers,
Rusty (hoping to give 100 yards a better try now)

"13brv3"Greetings,

Just a follow-up to say that AOA seems to have corrected my low power issue. I was getting around 880 fps on max with the 18.1 JSBs before sending it to them, and now it's 960 fps. I wish they had made some notes about what they did, but aside from mentioning that the regulator was set to 141 bar, there weren't any details. Hopefully this will give me a little better performance out to 100 yds.

Cheers,
Rusty
How long did AoA have your gun? Was the process easy?

It was 15 days from shipping to receiving it back. You'll need to call them and talk to them first to try to resolve it, and ultimately get an RMA. You pay the shipping to them, and they pay the shipping back.

I shot it some today on the max power, and it definitely uses more air. I was getting 6 magazines out of a tank on max before, and it's down to about 3 now. Of course when I turned the power wheel back down to the power I had before, it seems to be back to the old air consumption. Nothing really unexpected about that. At least I feel like I've got full range from too slow to too fast to work with now.

Cheers,
Rusty

I didn't buy my Impact from AoA but I assume they are the warranty center for the whole country?

I contacted my dealer and my issue might just be related to regulator settings. He said that FX was originally shipping the guns set for max power but more recently they have been tuning the regulator pressure to match the caliber of barrel being shipped with a gun.

I checked and mine is set to what looks like 125-130 BAR (hard to tell because the guage doesn't have good markings). So I would assume that I could get up to 900+ FPS if I crank the reg pressure up to max but then I'd just be setting my power wheel lower anyway so maybe it's not an issue unless I ever get a .25 or .30 barrel and need more power.
