JSAR rifles

@Tominco - I'm terribly sorry to hear about your situation. This is not cool for any company to demand this level of patience, regardless of being American made. I would find financial recourse and find an alternative on principles alone.

I agree with @intensesty22 and @Keyman - some people aren't cut out for business. Not everyone can be at the top, and the world needs ditch diggers as much as entrepreneurs.

As for me - JSAR has the defective 17" barrel from the rifle that I bought from @Lewis. Their magazines are designed worse than anything else I have ever seen, and there are numerous manufacturing defects to the serial #46 I have. I paid for the barrel return shipping in my own dime. They won't ship it back or answer my emails, very cowardly and criminal.

I hope JSAR reads sees this, because as much as I wanted to be their advocate - they dropped the ball. In turn, they have lost at least a dozen and a half sales. There's no way in hell I would recommend a rifle with shoddy manufacturing to anyone. I would look just as bad in the end.

All that may be so, but it doesn’t excuse or explain the lack of communication with your customer base. A quick post to the website or the forum explaining the situation and reassuring folk, or offering refunds if need be. Personal e-mails or calls would be best, but something, anything. As for bad employees, they had one for sure.

Good point ... free range R&D on someone else's dime is fun and a great deal to have ! ... but there comes a time when it's time to get to work and apply it in production with high QC day after day. When the going gets tough and the not so tough walk it's never a good turn out. History has happened and theirs no taking it back ! and we likely will never know the rebuttal from the other side ?

But fact are facts and these strikes are X2 with different manufactures ..... Full transparency after the fact may bring to light something different.

Folks have been and will continue to be thrown under the bus on both sides of this untold story ... self included.

It's sad, unfortunate with much we will never know or have the players say at this point .... Yet all players in the situation will go on with lifes journey and take something away from it be it positive or negative.

Respectfully,

Scott S

Eh, one thing I like about having strongly formed ideology and opinions that are built upon those, is that they stand the test of time...those whom lack such ideals, or principles, tend to be more malleable, more impressionable, more unstable, and more reckless when manifesting the methods of their madness into a reality.

Some men you can teach to fish in order to fill their bellies, and they'll instead do it for game and find means to fill their bellies otherwise...the world rarely is ideal...and having the foresight, the hindsight, and the proper line of sight, are all vital in developing, growing, and sustaining a brand/business...

I don't believe in karma, but if it exists, its a downright female dog...I helped manifest their balance valve into a reality...I never asked for any recognition or a cent, other than a professionally machined insert/copy of what I helped bring to reality, and that was far too much to ask, how dare I demand such? (I asked...) I not only solved the fundamental tune-able balance valve puzzle, I understood it from root cause to proper solutions and was able to articulate them both in a way anyone should understand. Even with this said, I never had any ill will towards this company that was indirectly using my solutions to a balance valve that made it more viable for pcp's....but I also never cared for the whole glorified marauder renamed into a prehistoric creature with all the bells and whistles that the community contributed to while receiving nothing but a kick in the teeth in return...

Can't say it doesn't make me grin a little seeing this outcome.

@motorhead Scott, since you highlighted that line of my comment, I am sure everyone knows, but just to make it crystal clear, I wasn’t referring to you. I have never dealt with you & have nothing neither good nor bad to say about you. If anything, everything I have ever heard about you was A+, except that part about living in California 😂 That’s too far to be sending you guns to tune for me 😉

I am hoping that JSAR sees this and responds as well. That's why I posted it in the Dealer/Manufacturer section, so that they could respond. One response from them here will reach hundreds of past, current, and potential customers! It wouldn't take very long to post a quick note in order to reassure all of us that things are moving forward.

JSAR... read those lines again! It's a HINT!!

My intention of posting here is not to bash them. I would much prefer to not go down that path. As I stated, I have tried multiple times to reach them and have been EXTREMELY patient waiting for a response... ANY response. I would not pretend to know what's happening at their place of business however, there are certain responsibilities that come with owning a business that I think we could all agree on.

I hope everyone at JSAR is healthy & safe. And, I really hope they respond, in some way, to let us all know what level of respect they would like us to hold their products and business at.

@tominco

I feel your pain, with this subject I've been very reserved, I haven't talked much about my experience, and I really don't know if that was a good or a bad decision because I could have help multiple people, the fact is that I keep it to my self and just moved forward. But many people on this forum know that I was all in on my Raptor order. I'm really happy I cancelled it and I was able to get my money back and move forward and never looked back!

Best of luck my friend!

I have been waiting since Dec 2019 for a Jsar mini. I just yesterday received a response to my inquiry as to the status of my order. Jacob emailed me and said they are working hard to assemble and test Raptors. They have had issues with slow leaks and are trying to address those leaks and it is time consuming. They are dealing with all the covid roadblocks and working offsite and remote locations, so I thanked him for his response and said I would continue to wait.He returned email and thanked me for my patience. I responded that silence was death and comms was fresh oxygen. I am hopefull.

UPDATE:

I received an email from Jacob...

Sorry to have missed this e-mail, it would seem I missed a batch. We got a bit slowed down with Covid, but we're starting to get a good head of steam on order shipment. Your gun is a still a few weeks out, but we're getting very close, I am very thankful for your patience, we'll get your gun out asap.

Thank you,
Jacob

Let me put it this way... That email arrived just in time. It's not the news I wanted to hear but, it IS news and it IS a response. And, I have to at least recognize that fact. COVID sucks for everyone in one way or another. While I don't mind waiting for a rifle to be built right and properly tested, I DO mind lack of communication! This build is going on 9 months. The only other rifle I waited this long for was the Gen1 Edgun Matador back in the day when Tony Rudenko was taking all the USA orders and treating everyone like dirt.

(Note: It's commonly accepted that a "couple" is 2 and a "few" is 3.)

So we're knocking on October .... have a rifle yet Tom ?

@Motorhead - Funny you should ask... I'm expecting delivery of my JSAR rifle tomorrow.

It's been over a year since I traded for the rifle! The communications with JSAR has been close to non-existent, at times. But, in the end, they held up their end of the deal and they deserve credit for that. My path in the air gunning world has changed course drastically from when I ordered the rifle. So, it may be short lived in my collection. I still plan on giving it a fair shake but, I have a lot of other stuff on my plate that needs to take priority.

Thanks for asking!

Tom

MY JSAR Raptor has finally arrived. Box was a little beat up but, the rifle comes with a hard plastic case so, it was well protected. I don't remember reading anywhere that they ship with a hard case so, that was an unexpected surprise. I don't have any pics yet because I opened it up late last night. I'll try to get some up soon.

While I certainly appreciate the prayers for no issues... I was provided no magazines with the rifle! I ordered 2 extra for a total of 3. I could see forgetting the extras but, none? That's a bit surprising. An email has already been sent and I'll try to follow up with a phone call today and Monday. I was also surprised that there was no paperwork in the box. Usually, an invoice comes with new rifles. But, not this time. It was a rifle, in a case, in a box with no padding. There was a special tool stuck inside of the case between the foam. When I saw it, I removed all the foam in the hopes that I would at least find one mag.

The tool is a spanner wrench which I assume is for removing the reg. Perhaps there's instructions on the website since there were none in the box?.... Nope! I just checked.
