Hey all,
Just a quick update regarding my Raptor.
Quick specs for the people not knowing my setup: Raptor .22 TJ barrel pellet and slug in red and black, with a Blackhound 6-24X50.
At 100 pellets in I saw it change from a semi shotgun pattern to pellets on pellets groups at 50 yards. I still have the occasional flyer, but I haven't sorted my pellets and some of them aren't perfect as I can feel when I am loading the mag, but I push it through as I want to reach my min of 250-300 pellets to start adjusting Black Widow (just a number I set after talking to Travis).
So far mechanically speaking it is a pleasure to use it. She looks and feels awesome. My only bad point that I had up to now, was regarding the feeling of the safety selector. It has now become a "feel really good" lever. Even before I contacted JSAR for that issue I had with the mushy safety lever feeling, After reading my post, Travis had contacted me to tell me how to adjust that baby to my likings.
Here are some pics on how to adjust the safety tension to your likings.
First remove the handle, by removing the screw.
Cycle your lever to set the Hammer to armed position. I left it opened so I could press the trigger and just test the on and off feeling. holding the lever when pulling the trigger. That isn't necessary but that is what I did.
Adjust the tension of the spring using a M1.5 Allen key in the red marked opening. Clockwise increase the tension, counterclockwise lower the tension.
Put your handle back in place. Test the cycling of your safety.
Mine is now really positive and not mushy like it was before.
I hope that helps
