JSAR Raptor or Impact MK2

Depends which one you want more.

LOL.

Buy them both is my advice. Now maybe someone might actually help the guy.

Problem is not many Raptors in the hands of forum members and not likely anyone has both .

It’s one of the reasons the air gun game is so expensive. You almost have to buy to feel and touch

I have an impact and I like it but it’s an expensive gun out the door and it seems most of us spend more tuning them

if I was starting from today I’d probably buy the raptor just because it’s cheaper (?)

Maybe this is the time to not buy anything. New stuff coming out no doubt

Yeah .30 raptor 1300$ vs impact 2049$ both being in .30 and having the long barrel.

The price difference is fairly substantial, that being about 750$ worth.

Soo,is the impact worth the 750$ difference to you?if so impact then but if not raptor?

All about what you want to spend your hard earned money on because either one you go with will be a great choice. Best of luck😀👍

If you will primarily be hunting, I would buy a Raptor. With the extra $700 savings over the impact you could buy a very nice scope for the raptor.

Raptors plenum is larger than the new power plenum on impact.

All my experiences with JSAR have been very good. Talked to Travis numerous times during my raptor wait and he is always so helpful.

The JSAR RAPTOR has some very cutting edge tech inside that sets it apart from anyone else's guns be it FX or otherwise. Sadly you go on a waiting list for a while longer to get it built being production is just starting to ramp up after 2+ years of R&D and prototyping / pre production fine tuning.

Fx you can have nearly now ... weeks or less most likely.

Personally own neither ..... but worked with both extensively.

Impact.

Pretty sure FX will be around for a while.

If people would give more support to these great (American) start-up manufacturers like JSAR and AAA (and the other one-off build-to-order manufacturers that have fallen to the wayside over the years) with their quality and cutting edge technology then they will be around for awhile as well. While there is no doubt that FX is a cutting edge manufacturer, they also pump out the product and in doing so flood the market and create popularity. It goes hand in hand. Help these small businesses succeed by supporting them and they too can grow and prosper like FX.

I love everything about the Raptor except the looks. That bottle arrangement is a deal breaker for me.

Same here, it looks too industrial to me, that bottle with two gauges sticking out like that aesthetically kills it for me. It, the Raptor would be wickedly sweet with an air cyclinder in place of the bottle. Maybe a future variation? But like Forrest Gump said “handsome is, as handsome does”.

I am saving my pennies for the Raptor mini as my next PCP. I have been following the progression for quite awhile and am very impressed. I really like my FX WC so it's not that I'm against FX...great company. I like the idea of supporting a US company if it's putting out a quality product which I believe, from what I have researched, that JSAR is doing. I have dealt with JSAR a couple of times in the past with very impressive results. I'm sure you will be very happy with either rifle. Good Luck!
