JSAR HAWK: Complete Review (video)

Waz gowinawn peeple?😁

This is my complete review of the Jefferson State Air Rifles HAWK in .22 caliber. I run the PCP through its paces and share the results with you first hand. I shot 10 different types of slugs and pellets to try and narrow down what this ole likes and you will see, it is pretty accurate with the larger pellets, slugs.

If you are going to shoot slugs, shoot 218's for sure as the barrel is not choked and needs to have that tighter fit which is clearly demonstrated by the grouping of the H&N 218 21gr Slug that was tested.

Throughout this video I reference my other videos that are a part of my JSAR HAWK Series which you can find at the following link:

What came to mind immediately was the CHRONY attached to barrel/shroud

That will and likely did change up the barrel harmonics being what started as a FLOATED design .. no longer is as tested.

Nice video and quite informative never the less.

Was thinking the same thing.

Haj, another quick video with a couple of the best grouping ammo is in order when you get a chance. Need to see what its capable of free floating.

In doing this video I wanted to show the rifle as it shot out of the box with nothing being tweaked or modified other than thoroughly cleaning the barrel. I have since taken the barrel out and inspected the crown and the lead-in. While the crown did not look too bad, the lead-in was horrible. I will be working this lead-in and I am also waiting on some additional 218 sized slugs and will see what I get. There are some photos of the stock crown and lead in below.

Hey, guys, I will try and answer the questions posed and offer some additional information:

@JimNM - It looks like the platform has a ton of potential.
Hajimoto - I agree and that was my biggest takeaway with the Hawk.

@Redick - That thing doesn't like slugs at all and very picky on pellets. Great review! maybe a different barrel would be beneficial.
Hajimoto - It stacked those H&N 218 21gr slugs. 4 out of 5 in the same hole practically.

@Motorhead What came to mind immediately was the CHRONY attached to barrel/shroud.
Hajimoto - I shot the rifle without the shroud, I used the stand for the radar which allowed for an independently supported arrangement and the same group results.

@jwrabbit123 - nice review, I guess it is not ammo friendly, Maybe polishing barrel and checking crown would do it wonders.
Hajimoto - I agree with you 100%, I plan on doing some serious barrel clean up and will be focusing on larger sized ammo.

I will share my results once I attack this bad boy.
