JSAR Hawk _ honest reviews?

I have a HAWK .22 and when I did my review of the rifle is it was a straight out of the box, clean the barrel check the basic mechanical function and shoot it with as many different projectiles as I could to allow a fair representation of what one could expect again, straight out of the box.

It was determined that the barrels lead in had some issues and was doing bad things to projectiles being chambered. The JSAR boys contacting the factory and got things in motion to correct the issues. JSAR made the decision to remove all the barrels of there stack at the time and chuck them up and to run their high end ream in the barrels to clean up the issue. Early testing was performed and the barrels were shoot much more consistent so there were discussion on how best to move forward. I was not necessarily a part of those discussions but I know there were talks of correct barrels that were already in the hands of HAWK owners.

I leave the public relations work to the folks at JSAR but I know that I am going to be releasing an update to the HAWK demonstrating the performance post JSAR corrections. I can say that the mechanics and functionality of the HAWK afford it a huge fute as it relates to customising it to be whatever the shooter wants it to be. Besides the lead in issue, the rifle is a super solid platform that will be able to produce incredible energy reliability.

Thanks,

I don't have any honest review on the performance of the gun but I'll give my honest opinion on the looks of the gun. To me it looks like a gun built out of several other guns. Nothing seems to flow smoothly from one piece to the next. The receiver is out of proportion to the airtube, the stock really don't look like it was built for the rest of the gun etc. Sorry just my honest thoughts. I wouldn't care if it shot hole in hole at 100yds, I'd have to draw the line at it's outer beauty or lack of.

Sorry JSAR

Yep.....a now change of heart about it.

Agree........it's not an air rifle that is easy on the eyes.

It does look like something put together as a parts and pieces rifle.

So can someone clearify something for me with the power of the HAWK.? If this rifle has the balanced valve and adjustable regulator along with hammer spring load adjustments, shouldnt the power levels/adjustability be reletively the same as the raptor? It seems to me, the only difference is the size of the plenum but the hawk still has a larg plenum. Some ireal life chrono data at min. and max velocities with projectile weight would be nice

So mine got stolen from me by a crazy psycho ex but i can honestly say i don't miss either of them. I was not impressed with the rifle from the first day i purchased it. It shot like crap,it was the least accurate gun I've ever shot. Sorry but not sorry jsar or xisico or whoever made the gun that jsar put there name on. There customer service was crap, the gun was crap. A week after the ex stole the gun i went and purchased the fx impact mk2 with the power plenum and do not have no regrets what's so ever
