Well I saw this in a classifieds add yesterday after dinner! And noticed right away that it was a local sale only about an hour away from me and at a very good price...Emailed right away and got a prompt reply! Long story short I went to pick it up today

Bought brand new from Pomona airguns in 2001 and he was the original owner.

Beeman R7 in .177 with all the papers and box!!! Sweet little shooter....now I need a nice little scope because my eyes don't do well with irons anymore...lol

Just had to post I know these are popular little plinkers.

NICE FIND! I have an old Tasco 2.5-10x42AO Mildot Target Varmint on one and a SWFA 3-15x42 on another and a Burris 4.5-14x32AO on another. I think the Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x33 efr would do it justice and don't forget a one piece droop compensated mount with stop pin or BKL one piece droop compensated. Good news good possibility of liking really cheap ammo such as the Chinese Beeman coated hollowpoints Gamo Match Crosman CPHP Benjamin hollowpoints in the 750ct tins and 7.4gr Crosman pointeds from Wal-Mart. YO!

That is a great find. I like the stock. I recently bought an HW30 and while being stuck at home during this virus lockdown it has kept me shooting in the backyard while compressed air is scarce and my tanks are low.

Yo, I have a little 3-9×32 Clearidge ultra RM I might throw on top...and I have a bunch of RWS hobbys and some Vogel Merlin match that have sitting around for years..gonna try some out tomorrow!

Kgphotos, thanks man I haven't had a .177 anything In quite some time...

I filled both my tanks right before this crap happened and have been trying to be sparing with it and shooting mostly my heard of springers!!! Good to get back to basics for a while...really helpful in the concentration of trigger control and follow through....master a springer and you can shoot anything!

You'll probably grow tired fast of your PCP's if you have to manually pump them up. I know I would.

When did they start using that front sight? My earlier copies have dove tail sight. And while I am here where can I source a quality front sight? Thanks.

Welcome to the club. Get some light weight JSB's and have some fun. Doubt if you'll need a droop scope mount.

I agree ! My motto is...mount the scope and if droop is severe then buy a droop compensating mount or shim the rear ring.

I have sport match medium 2 piece mounts I'm going to try first...the box says select barrel angle too.

The thinner barrel and dovetail sight went away YEARS ago. 1986? I like the earlier stocks. Palm swell. Higher comb. They were usually prettier wood too. One of our sons with my wife's R7 several years ago. It still looks and shoots awesome today after 35 years.

Oh yeah, I don't prefer big blocky mongo rings on low recoiling springers. You don't need them. Your gun's sleek lines will look so much better.
