Joe B Great White Tank

I bought an Air Venturi guppy and it is ok. The brass under pressure valve is stripping though after 2 months of use. It is regulated to 2900 psi so I bought the big 98 cu ft Air Venturi as well. It was shipped with a leaky valve and I returned it. I decided to call Joe B and I'm glad I did. The Joe B tanks cost a little more but the user experience and higher quality are well worth it. I added the second gauge which show the tank pressure at all times. I find that feature helps me remember to keep the tanks filled with air. The main gauge assembly is also way nicer than the AV tank. It's very big and easy to fill my guns to the right level. Also, the fill hose is longer which makes filling a little easier. Bottom line is that both tanks work but one is a Chevrolet and one is a Cadillac.

After patiently waiting, like a kid at Christmas, I finally got my tank and hose from Joe B. Got the tank hooked up to my rifle (smiles ear to ear) and slowly opened up the valve. I hear a hissing sound (smiles turn to frown). Turned out there was some metal debris trapped underneath the o-ring on one of the hose ends.

Anyways, it seems to be fine now after carefully removing the small metal object. Worried that the foreign metal object may have damaged the o-ring and may rupture over time. Should I be concerned?

This setup wasn't cheap, and have read all the great things about these tanks.

No.....I got 2 Joe B tanks and never had a problem. You should call and talk to Joe just to tell him what you have found.

"scubajeeper"I have one of Joe's valves on a scba and it is the bee's knees but I have to really crank it down hard to shut it off. If I don't really tighten it basically as hard as I can, it will leak. Has anyone had this problem?
No problem with mine, in fact I do think the valve on his tanks are quite easy to turn off and on. Really good quality.
