JKHan vs Kalibr

I owned both and the only problem I experienced was idexing the magazine on the Colibri (Hummingbird) and that was fixed by Ernest Rowe, and later was said to be resolved by Kalibrgun. The latest news is Kalibrgun is discontinuing the Hummingbird. I don’t know why.

You don't know why................. Im telling you the hummingbirds I owned were just terrible. Was in the middle of a shoot out and the hummingbird took a dump.

Love my cricket!

linsfreak, Yeah I figured it was the hummingbird you were referring to. I had the same issues with mine...Blowback and indexing.

A trip to the magic man (Ernest) resolved these issues. I consider it an incredibly cool little bullpup.

It looks like if you a manufacturing company and you bring a new product to market (hummingbird)...it better be free of defects. There doesn't appear to be a second chance...a competitive market is unforgiving.

I just got my JKHan bullpup from Randy with the Huma regulator installed. Agreed with everything you said, with the addition of the regulator only cost 75 bucks more. I am getting 34 shots before it drops below the regulator pressure. I sighted mine in at 75 yards, dropped 40 (Forty) shots into a 1 inch group. That was with bad gusty winds. On a calm day I expect to cut that group in half. I have absolutely loved my gun, I have 6 Airforce airguns, including a Texan, 2 Hatsan carnivore's, .30 and .357 and an Edgun Matador in .22. This gun keeps up with the Matador with ease at a fraction of the cost. Manufacturing is very well done, beautiful walnut stock, zero tooling marks when I took it apart. Randy installed the regulator when I bought the gun. The regulator sets the gun right at 40 FPE. I dont regret it one bit.

They don't even compare!

Kalibr makes by FAR better rifles in every way. Jkhan is a rebadged Evanix. It is being reported on the UK forums that Jkhan breech block is made from very soft aluminum.

Get a Daystate Regal friend, for the money they want for these new guns. Your resale value will hold too. Check the GTA forum on these Jkhans, their going price in Korea is also posted there.

"Don't even compare"? Have you EVER held one of these guns? or shot one? Seems you are always basing YOUR opinion(s) off of stuff you hear and/or read. Not just this post, but posts with other brands too.......

I have a .22 Noblesse in walnut. It is a tack driver with a lothar walther barrel. It's the same platform as the Evanix rainstorm I believe, except JKHAN puts in a lothar walther barrel, and a reworked trigger.

Before the reg install, I was getting 1037fps with the JSB 18.13 pellets which is way to hot. No bell curve, more like an ever diminishing curve as each shot had an ever decreasing fps until it was empty. With the Huma reg and a lower power hammer spring, I am now getting 50 consistent shots with velocity around 860fps. Standard deviation is also very low at 4.4fps.

Quality of the action and parts is pretty good, and it comes with a weaver rail. The stock even has recessed cups for the bolts to nestle into. It is very well thought out. The magazines cycle without issue, and the cocking mechanism is also very smooth, and also has a double load prevention. My only gripe is that the safety is a little hard to reach in its recess. It could be fixed with a small tube over it to make it stick out further.

The JKhan Noblesse Bull pup is a beautiful, well engineered, and accurate rifle.I have one in .25, and it's just gorgeous,in every way.
I own A LOT of different PCP's (as well as springers), and I can tell you the JKhan is an extreme bargain.
I hate to pick on Cricket specifically, but I constantly hear people saying "It'll do 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards".....Huh?...so will the JKhan(and better)...and my P12, for that matter, and my .25 Marauder as well. It's okay to be "loyal" to a specific brand, but I dislike when people discount other brands because...it's "beneath" their chosen royalty.....sorry for the mini rant, but I severely dislike brand"humpers".

Is yours regulated or had the hammer spring changed? I'm considering one and trying to decide on a regulator or not.

I believe there may be opportunities to reduce hammer weight also. I have also heard what might be some hammer bounce on some of the slow motion videos I have captured with the IPhone 6 while testing. I am not sure if there is a way to design a hammer debouncer for this system or not, but that too would really increase efficiency as well as increase shot count even more.

Jkhan is Evanix Blizzard with LW barrel. The receiver on Jkhan is not 7076 aluminum as they claim. It is something much softer. They give you an LW barrel but take something away in build quality. My issue with Hyundai company is this. Why release two air rifle brands of the exact same gun? It would make more sense to offer Evanix Rainstorm in walnut stocks they wrap Jkhan rifles in as an option.
