Jammed Monsoon

I recently acquired a used FX Monsoon 22 cal. Our 11 year old Grandson was using it yesterday. He took the magazine out to see how many shots were left in the magazine. When he replaced the clip and the bolt went forward the gun jammed. We can't get the magazine out. I tried using a ramrod.I have looked at a parts breakdown of the Monsoon and more or less turned chicken. Is there a simple fix or do I send it to a repair shop? I am more or less a putz and don't want to screw up and have to send a repair center a box of parts.

Thanks for your help

Hi Roach35 I agree with Wolfie on the trigger do ever play with that. The gun is jammed probably because of a double pellet feed. My 13 YO son has done this many time so now I keep a large parts supply for the gas piston system, and baffles for the Monsoon. I can help you off line and I think we can get the magazine issue fixed. You don’t need to be scared of the monsoon, it is pretty easy to service once you dive in. Otherwise it will be an expensive gun for you to shoot if you send it back to a AOA each time you have a problem. Did you download the Monsoon service "Cheat Sheet" from the FX web site? Search to forum and you can find the link from a previous post from me.Shoot me a PM if you want some help. Thanks

Problem solved, I talked to a tech at AoA who said with the bolt pulled back and locked, place a piece of wood against the magazine and hit it with a hammer. I did and it worked. Used a ramrod to get the pellets out, ran two magazines through and all is good!

wilryce thanks for the offer to help, if I get stuck again I'll send you a PM, I downloaded the Cheat Sheet.
