IZH M46

The worst thing about the 46 is the grips. I went  with Sc/woods and water.. You will absolutely love it. Mac1 can handle your repairs.

Are they still available in the US? I thought only in Canada for really expensive. I would get the AA Alpha Project for that kind of money. Easy to hand pump and it's a superior pistol IMHO.

The Air Venturi V10 (Gamo Compact) is very accurate and quiet and easy to pump compared to most SSP pistols and available with optional lefty grips too and a great value for the money. I bought both right and lefty versions one for each hand like Nicholas Cage in FACE OFF.

The Weihrauch HW75 is good too however it's a 1911 replica (sorta) very fun to shoot especially cocking the hammer to fire feels kinda like the real deal. Almost as accurate as the Alpha Project (well not quite but about as accurate as the IZH 46M).

I bought 2 of them (used) this year. I love them!

I've purchased seals, etc. through Amazon, Pyramid Air, etc. but haven't needed any of them yet.

I haven't had one problem with either one. I had a red dot on one, now have a scope, and the other one is open sights.

I purchased two 10mm moderator adapters from Donny FL and with the Sumo the gun going off sounds like a twig breaking. Cocking the gun makes more noise that the shot. Excellent for backyard use!

I think they're great......grab your pistol and a tin of pellets and you're ready to go!

They've been "out of stock" at Krale for a long time so used may be your only option for a while, but that's just my personal opinion. Others may have more accurate facts.

A (Crosman/Benjamin application) TKO with heat shrink tubing on the muzzle end works near silent and super duper light weight too... Cant feel added weight up front.

Daisy 777 worth buying if you find a used one in the $300 price point or a 747 for under $200. No fatigue shooting them all day pumping. Super quiet and one holers all day long. The IZH 46 Sun optics (formerly B Square) mounts work for scope or red dot sight use.

Alpha Project superb accurate easy to shoot pistol.

Once its breach sealing issue is sorted, i have found the FAS 6004 more refined and the range of grip options allow perfect handling without having to mod the grips...looks great too.

EAA in Florida is the company that imported the IZZYs. I ordered replacement screws for the rear sights years ago. (If you get one you will know what I am talking about. Hint...be careful.)

My friend in Kansas has one. He has 20 acres and shoots every cowbird in sight.

He estimates he has fired the pistol 25,000 times (he is the 2nd owner).

Remember to close the bolt before firing or you will be buying new seals.

O-rings/seals are available everywhere.

The original grips were made oversized so that you could modify them as YOU saw fit.

I have (still have one) had three IZZYs.

I modified the grips on the first one with a Dremel and they were great. Sold the pistol to a fellow in Ohio.

The 2nd one I gave to my son in AZ.

I added the Air Venturi trigger to mine and it makes all the difference.

I have 15 yards in the downstairs hallway and hardly a day goes by that 50-100 pellets are not fired into the trap.

My IZZY wears Corcoran furniture.

I shoot it with open sights, a Millett Red-Dot and 2X Leopold as the mood suits me.

I use it for Air Pistol Silly Wet, too..





MAC1 has a re-build kit for around $80.00..

One thing I do that is not mentioned in the manual. I leave the pistol with one pump when storing. I leave the bolt out of battery as required but the one pump I have been doing recently. We have been told to leave air in the Benji and Crosman pumpers so why not the IZZY??

I have an Izzy and an HW75. I prefer the Izzy. Easier to pump and easier to get the adapter rail to go to picatinny mounted sights. The Sun adapter is still available for the Izzy but getting a 13mm to picatinny is difficult if not impossible. Parts and service are available from Mac 1 in California. There is a source via eBay from Russia that has numerous parts. Delivery is slow but he does get good reviews.

What you propose is of interest to me. Can you elaborate, specifically with the shrink wrap? I have an IZ 46M and a couple of TKO moderators (for Discos). If I can combine these it will be cheaper than the Donny FL route. I'd appreciate the "for dummies" description if you have the time to help me. Thanks in advance! THis may motivate me to dust off my IZH and start shooting it again.

Go buy the thick heavy duty shrink tubing that's rigid like thick drinking straws not flat and limp like (hmmm)... Regular shrink tubing.

Cut it to length be mindful how far in it slides onto the 46M in relation to the TKO set screw. Do over couple layers. You are making the barrel shim concentric to slide your Disco TKO to fit perfectly.

Some kinda press fit sleeve over the end of the barrel may do. Check ACE Hardware. Maybe copper tubing? Concentric shim is what you need.

You can also wrap aluminum soda can strip or layers of tape and hope it doesn't clip when you shoot it.

Both show special order for the Sun Optics mount. Call and ask. B&H supposedly had 8 mounts shipped to them but they never got back with me about them. I ordered August 1st. I contacted Teresa at Sun Optics and she graciously sold one to me which isn't their normal thing. I just received mine in the mail this past Monday (Oct 19th).



Go for the Baikal. I love mine and I'm NOT an air pistol kinda guy either. This one will be a keeper.
