IZH 46M does not work

A few years ago I ordered an IZH-46M off of Amazon for $450 or so. The gun didn't last a tin of pellets though before it started acting funny. By acting funny, I mean, I'd pump it, and it pull the trigger and it would go "pfff" instead of "pop" and the pellet wouldn't move. Then I'd have to try 3-4 times and the pellet would anemically exit the barrel flying so slow I can see it in the air or even get stuck in the barrel.

I put the gun back in the box, because as a full-time student with two part-time jobs I just didn't have time to tinker with it. Well, right now I caught a break and have a little more tinker time than usual. Someone suggested it was just that it needed some lube, so I took it out, put a couple of drops of RWS chamber oil in the piston and in the air transfer hole. Still no luck.I'm pretty sure I tried that years ago too.

Years ago I also tried signing up for a forum like this, but I think it was a different one. It told me I had to wait for my account to get approved. Which never happened, so I couldn't ask my question. I'm glad to see this site actually lets new people join!

I haven't had much luck with airguns at all. I've owned several different air guns and basically every one of them ended up breaking within a couple of months of use. Even when I was on the high-school air rifle team it seemed like the guns were always breaking and those were with air rifles provided to the school by the U.S. Army. By comparison, several of my firearms have over 10,000 rounds through them without changing a single part. It would be nice if someone could make an airgun that would be as durable as a firearm. The only airgun I've ever owned that lasted anywhere close to as many shots as a real firearm is some cheap plastic airsoft version of the Desert Eagle that cost me $25 about 10 years ago. Too bad it doesn't have good accuracy. One reason I bought the IZH-46M was because it has a reputation for being pretty nice. Also, it seems to have a pretty good construction using pins and screws to hold it together rather than glue, making it potentially user serviceable.

I'd like to try and take it apart and fix it. I don't know what is wrong, but I hope it is maybe just some rubber seal or something that needs to be replaced every few hundred pellets or something like that. Is there a source for such parts? I was hoping to use airguns as a way to do target practice cheaper than real firearms, but if I have to pay to ship my gun to Russia with a hefty repair bill every few hundred pellets for them to work on it, then I might as well stick with shooting 9mm Parabellum.

Also, does anyone know of any good disassembly guides? I can find some exploded diagrams, but it seems like there isn't as much info out there for airguns.
