What is the brand/name of the square prism you have and where did you buy it from? I'm interested in getting one myself for a project as well but can't seem to find them. Thanks!

Not sure if this is the exact seller I got it from? Don't know really how to navigate AliExpress yet. But this is the prism
Thanks for the link...

kmd, I got inspired when I came across Matt Dubber 's video on the RusBear mount. (Actually annoyed) When I saw the "Crack Head" price that he was asking for it.
I got a great idea, while watching that video. I'm going to mount a camera on my mount. I think I got it worked out. So far I got about $80 into to this mount, I have an old Cannon camera that I'm not using. If my Idea works out I'll spring for a better camera.

But I'm guessing the total cost to make one of these will be less than $100.00
The great thing is that this mount will be able to mount to any scope. And it can be used as a cell phone mount (How it originally came) and a HD Camera mount.
So for Less than $100 you'll have several mounts to play with.
No 3D printing needed! Anyone can make this on there spare time.

Will update when I get all the details worked out!

"intenseaty22"Have you seen Hajimoto’s camera mount for the GoPro? I’m toying with the idea now.

Yes!
That was one of the first videos I saw on the Gopro. He ended up changing the lens. That's what made me order the GoPro sessions. I even have a zoom lens adapter for the GP.
But because of Matt's indication that he Eagle Vision (Sony Camera) was the best option. I decided to do a mount that will mount that type of camera, rather than a GoPro.

No. I think you misunderstood.
I'm mounting the camera with the prism so you can still use the scope as a scope. Matt and Ted doesn't seem to have issues with Hammer strikes? I don't see the hammer strikes being an issue in Bob_O videos either. (He uses the SideShot)
My mount is essentially the same as Hajimoto just the tube I use is adjustable to fit any scope. (I don't need the 3D printed tube) check out the picture I posted earlier.
Rather than mounting a GoPro I'm mounting a digital camera. That would solve the lack of zoom on the camera.

We'll see if my idea works out? So far it looks promising. I should have the prototype ready by this weekend.

I agree, he charges way too much it. It clearly looks like he print the part, which costs very, very little. he then slaps a cheap Chinese GoPro "knock-off" in there. Add the $30 dollar two-way mirrors and you are done.Having said this, I am glad he at least did something though... I wish more people would go ahead and come up with new products. Competition is good for business, if you know what I mean.

I cant' wait to see what you come up with! : )

Yes, I did misunderstand. Thanks for explanation. Do you happen to have a link to that mount? I search for it, but can’t find it. Thanks!

Well prelim trials seems to work really well! Maybe I need to invest in a better camera?
All in total I think it was around $90 parts and labor. (Not including the cost of the camera.)
But you guys should try it!
The reason I didn't just use one piece of PVC and glue the camera direct was because I wanted to be able to still use the camera as a camera. And the slip fit of the coupling allows me to fine tune the adjustment!

SUPER STOKED!!!!

Parts:
Prism
Phone scope mount
1/2" Delrin plate
1 1/4" PVC about an inch long
1 1/4" PVC coupling cut to about 1" long
some super glue
And a Digital camera

LOL! I haven't used this camera so long I can't figure out how to get the video from the camera to my computer. Stand by! Technical difficulty!
Damn amateurs... ?

Edit: Take the memory card out or just connect it to the computer. Using the card will require an adapter/card reader, unless of course you have one build-in to your laptop or desktop.
Using a cable is pretty straight forward... if you have the cable. ?

"kmd1984"Dude, that looks great! Awesome job! I believe at the end you zoomed in using the camera, nor the scope, right?
The scope is a fixed 12x SWFA SS. The zoom was done with the camera
I'll make a post just for the build of this so others can give it a shot!
