Well, I took it to my dad's and took a few practice shots, off hand @ 15 yards at a few steel cans. I didn't have to change the sights at all, it seemed to hit right where I was aiming it. The trigger feels, well ... different. Not hard, not real light ... kinda long with no indication of when it's going to break. *I* think it's because I'm used to my Glock's trigger ... a little slack, a hard spot and bang. But no biggie, I look forward to getting used to it.

I only took two pics, one of the gun and one of the steel can's that I shot. I was using Crow Magnums and even at 15 yards, they ripped right through...hollow points through both sides of thick steel cans at 45 feet, I was impressed. I do understand that after going through the first wall of the cans, they were no longer hollow point, most likely they were rounded off.

I did have to put a dot of blaze orange tape on the front sight post, because it disappeared in the field. It worked so well that I'm going to pick up some blaze orange paint tomorrow and make it permanent.

That rifle looks really nice. Glad to hear you are off to a good start with it. Are you going to put a scope on it?

The rifle is practically mint! There is one small blemish on the breech, but otherwise it looks brand new! My dad is going to loan me an old scope until I can afford to get a new one. I like the Williams peep that's on it, but IMO, it's not precise enough for shooting 3-4" chipmunks at distance. Or maybe I'm just not comfortable enough yet with the peep sight.
