Is this the right Slick50 (for ammo Lube)?

I have had one gun/barrel that liked it and that was my WarP with the TJ barrel. It had a very tight choke and would lead up very quickly unless I lubed my pellets. Have found it made no difference with my other guns (not that I could tell with my limited experience) and in one it actually hurt accuracy (Taipan Veteran .25). One of those things where you won't know if it works with your gun unless you try it. I personally won't be lubing any ammo or sorting/weighing it for that matter. Just open a tin and shoot em!

New label but it’s it.

That's what threw me off!

Thats the one just remember a little goes along way .

That can will last for years and years . Enjoy . Dale

I see exactly what you mean! Let's hope they don't catch on to how efficient it is LOL

Yeah, I got this can specifically for the .30 slugs out with my R5 long. I'm trying to narrow down some accuracy issues that I suspect are due to leading in the choke, so a little bit of this and a re-tune to just under 900fps is the strategy I'm taking. I can already see a huge improvement in ES with a few strings that I shot this evening with my chrono. Before, the string would start off hot and then slow down about 15fps, and kind of jump around. I had an ES of 5 for the first 32 shots, the I let it sit for a little while, refilled and shot 33 more with an ES of 3 (892-895). I just hope they'll be accurate when I get out this weekend shoot long range 👀

I have used this Lube for 25 years. Works perfect!

This is my first time trying it out, if it works I'll be a customer for life 😎

The big thing for me when lubing is barrel cleaning. First patch is filthy...second patch is almost clean and the third patch is totally clean when using a solvent.

The barrel cleans up so much faster with lubed pellets IMHO

Oh man, I finally got out there yesterday and tested with these 47gr NSA HPs that we're leading up and causing accuracy issues. I shot over 300 of them throughout the day, only using a bore snake once early in the session for good measure. This lube has undoubtedly resolved the accuracy problems.

I'm afraid to run any patches through my barrel now, I think I may just stick with the bore snake if/when I notice any future accuracy problems!

So if a little goes a long way, what do you call a little? Do you spray a foam pad and let them roll around?

Everyone seems to have their own process. With these slugs I laid all of mine out on two new microfiber cloths, hit them with a quick spray, and gently wrapped them in one of the cloths and just rolled them for a bit, then poured them onto a fresh microfiber cloth that I used to do a quick, bulk polish right before bagging them back up.

Seemed to work well for me, probably not as good for pellets though (check the ammo section for @pcparmy's video where he shows a more pellet friendly method).

I could be wrong, but i am assuming the ingredient that you are after contained in slick 50 is teflon (PTFE). If that is the case, I believe they greatly reduced the amount of PTFE in slick 50 because of issues they had with clogging oil filters and such things.

That's pretty common with most off the shelf products these days, but at the end of the day a little bit of it seems to have resolved my accuracy issues, so whatever their formula is - I hope they keep it just the way it is!
