I bought a Yong Heng from Walmart because it was supposedly a certified YH. The first one I purchased from Ebay advertised as a YH was a knockoff. This one looks like a real YH but doesn't have the logo on the side. Opinions please.

Mine didn’t have the name on the side either
I also purchased the Walmart extended warranty
so should be covered either way.

It sure looks like the real deal and the sideplate model says YH so a good sign. Neither of mine have the sideplate but have the painted logo everything else looks exactly like both of mine.

Yep. It is a genuine YH. You have the Hard Cover version. It is the second most basic model. It has the Cyclone separator and no auto-stop. Not having the name printed on the side means nothing.

Old yong heng have the logo on the side. The new version does not. Mine yong heng is 2019 and it doesn't have the logo on the side

Based on visual inspection, i.e. stainless steel tubing, nuts, aluminum blocks, etc
that will tell you if it's an authentic YONG HENG, but also, of added importance, the name plate on the side of compressor, showing unit serial# and it's manufacture month and year---all combined---
That's how you tell between the knockoff and the authentic.
For me, I'm satisfied!

I purchased it from Orion Motors (through Amazon, they facilitated the purchase and shipping)
Orion has been terrific with customer service. For example, I notified them I had a small air leak and within 12 to 24 hours, they had a technician walking me through the fix process. I'm Very happy.
That's how one prospers, by running their business with great customer service.

As a matter of fact, yours (you can see it inscribed on the Yong Heng name plate attached to the side of your compressor) it shows your machine to be manufactured a month after mine.

In only one months time between are two manufacture dates, It shows how many compressors YH have made---
