Is This a Regulator Issue on My Impact X, .25 Caliber ?

I've had it for about 6 months with no problems. Recently I've noticed that it takes 5 - 6 shots to get the pellet on the bullseye at my zero and then it stays there for the rest of the shoot. Pellet 1 starts about 3 inches low at 50 yards and the next 3 or 4 each rise a little until it is on the zero. I don't notice any loss of air between shoots - usually about 1 week.

With all the Impact User expertise on this forum, I thought I would start my research here. Thanks

Sounds like reg creep to me. But it should only take about 2 or 3 shots to get back on zero. With my impact x 25 Cal. I'm shooting about 850-860 fps with king heavy. When leave overnight, the first shot will be 820, then 830, then back to 850ish. This is because the pressure in the reg creep past the normal setting. Higher pressure doesn't necessarily means more speed. The hammer have a harder time to hit to valve open at higher pressure. That is why you see the lower speed after a reg creeping. Usually 2-3 shots will get you back on track. Happens to most fx owner. So don't worried about it too much. Trying fix the problem will most likely make it worst so just leave it alone or replace with a huma $120 reg.

I see lots of reports of Reg creep on impacts, what is the cause and more importantly what is the cure. Fitting an after market Reg cannot be the only remedy as there must be impacts that don’t suffer creep.

Idk what is the cause of it nor a fix. All I know I I bought my impact x in Jan 2019 from airgun depot. Brand stinky new. It creep from day one till now. I took the reg out, clean it, lube it with silcone grease. Tried stacking the bevel washer in stacks of two. Tried wiping all grease off the reg and installing with no lube. It still creep and just give up. Dry fire about 2-3 shots will bring it back to normal. Don't want to folk up $120 for a huma reg. This is a $2000 gun, shouldn't have to buy aftermarket stuff to make it work right .oh well.
