Is the Seneca 2500 the most versatile airgun on the market? Let’s find out!

This is another one of those reviews that I’ve been waiting a long time for. This rifle was actually given to me by the owner of Hunters Supply. We were out visiting and I was talking about how I’d never had the chance to shoot one and he stepped away from the table and came back with this in his hand. Evidently he loves these so much he picks them up whenever he has the chance. Now I can see why! The Seneca 2500 .25 cal can go from plinking tin cans or target shooting in the back yard all the way up to taking predators and varmints out past 50 yards. The variable power and accommodating magazine make it a formidable airgun for just about any use. And, the price won’t break the bank!

Man it’s a great time to be an airgunner!!!

Very good review. I just referred it to a friend who's looking hard at a Seneca/Sumatra.

I would say that my full length, post-Escape Condor is as versatile. It can get in the high 90s fpe FPE on factory settings with heavy pellets and light slugs or go as low as you could want it. However, seems like something the Sumatra/Seneca can do that the Condor can't is adjust to a wide FPE range thru the power wheel alone. The Condor can't adjust to a low FPE on the power wheel. The tophat has to also be adjusted, either thru adding an oring, moving the spinner on the old factory tophats, or restricting the flow with interchangeable or pluggable tophats. Seems like the Seneca would be more user friendly to someone that wanted to adjust with the least amount of hassle.

Does someone have some shot strings they can post comparing full lower-powered strings to high powered strings on the Seneca?
