Is the Impact lefty friendly?

"Fredrik" was shooting of a bench, I am interested in how it shoots off hand in the field.

As for Righty's liking a left hand lever, from videos I have seen, the impact is a gun that can be cocked without removing the trigger hand completely from the grip.

Taking into account that everyone is different, and has different preferences for optics, eye relief, and head placement for cheek weld, I have no problem shooting my Impact left handed in any position.

I am one of those who "climbs up on" or "scrunches into" the rifle VS shooting with a more upright head position and my face, chin, cheeks etc. clear the standard mag nicely. I have not had an issue with the stock cheek piece from the start, but I do not spend an extended period with the rifle mounted while shooting from the bench, or off hand.

I have an Aztec 5.5X25 FFP mounted in NCStar adjustable rings.



Now, on the issue of "compromise". That is a valid point, and perhaps I either do not notice, have gotten used to, or just do not care about the details like the cheek piece.

The platform works for me, and will work just fine for others who shoot lefty assuming that your expectations are not that it will fit you like a tailor made dinner jacket. It is more of a one size fits all situation. Judge for yourself, and if at all possible, shoulder one before dropping the coin.

It has been a couple of years since someone posted to this thread so sorry if that moves your magazine in the wrong way.
I too a lefty shooter am disappointed that FX or Saber or others haven't come up with left hand load high capacity magazine for the Impact 3 and since they have had plenty of time I don't think anyone is going to.
I have been waiting for months to buy the Impact 3 Sniper Version because of the Magazine and not being able to load lefty.
I too like the right side cocking, seems better for me, I cock right on my Armada and it works well so the cocking action is good to go.

Are there any Left Side Loading Kit for the Impact made by anyone ?

I've switched one M3 impact over to left handed had 2 mags printed from Orion for left handed only thing is I left the cocking on the right side and the rear gauge has to be moved to the angled location up front I took pictures and did put it on here on how I did so my left handed friend loves it now he went from hating the gun to loving it

Do a search should be able to find it and can be done with a Dremel tool if you have a steady hand he hasn't had any problems with it after I switch it around
