Is the Impact lefty friendly?

I (and others) have asked this before, here and on other forums, always lots of , Its works for me, type comments, but yet I never see any Pics/Videos to ease my doubts.

Also as the Impact Looks like a gun that can easily be cocked with the trigger hand without completely removing ones hand from the grip, its also a shame the cocking lever can not be switched to the left*

* saber do a left hand kit, around $130

sorry for all the edits, PC playing up.

I shoot the impact left as well no issues.

How is this not an issue for you? My assumption is that you are making compromises and have just adjusted to that.

Can't speak for Glem. But the mag is low enough for me. I shouldered the gun with and without the mag. My cheek welds on the top rail before the mag just touches lightly behind my chin. It actually acts as another anchor point for me. As stated, i think the smaller mag would be a non issue.

Haven't had an impact but as a right handed shooter on both my Edgun R5M and AGN Uragan I preferred the cocking on the left. Go figure.

I think that makes sense. You're able to keep your hand on the trigger while you cock for next shot. Same premise as shooting lefty and cocking with right hand. It would actually be so foreign for me to cock a gun on the left.

It's all about scope placement I do not have a impact but my marauders & puncher breaker have mags on top to get away from them I put the scopes farther down on the rail

Doesn't that make you compromise a natural comfortable shooting position?

not for me your only moving less than 1" but everyone is different

It just isn't an issue? Fredrik the owner is lefty too. Why would he build a gun that is an issue to shoot? Watch the showdown between matt dubber and him in speed so and see how horribly problematic it is.

Like many other members on this forum, I too shoot the Impact left-handed. I ended up modifying my cheek piece to help reduce interference with the mag. I can shoot with stock mag or side shot now without issue. Not saying you have to customize as some shooters don’t seem to have a problem. I would however recommend picking up an ambidextrous cheek piece from a third party. Custom Carbon Designs makes some killer aftermarket cheek pieces.

Below is a link describing my mod.

LH mod for Impact

Also, check out Mike Knipp’s youtube channel. He shoots LH and you can see in his videos how he moves his cheek weld forward to get in front of the mag.

It would be super cool if side shot or saber tactical came up with a mag system that loaded from the left side but I doubt that will ever happen.

Long story short is the Impact does work for us lefties, but it may take some experimentation to make your cheek weld comfortable.
