Is my thinking Wrong?

about 2" group @ 50 YARDS and around 4" @ 70 yards, but im no marksman lol

very honest answer I can respect that Sr. shoot me a PM with your mailing info and I will ship you a chronograph that works but looks as ugly as I do haha. I only shot it twice but I use it every week. lol It works and it is free. If you are ok with that of course. It is a must have in my opinion.

I have to plead ignorance on the Hatsan. I don't really know how friendly that rifle is to any type of mods/improvements. I'm guessing that you've probably already tried different pellets to see what it likes the best? Any way....you don't have to have the most expensive rifle to find good accuracy and be happy with it. It depends on what you want out of a rifle. Many like to push their equipment to the edge of it's current abilities and then tweak and improve on the platform to push it beyond. That is part of the fun. Not everyone feels that they need that or cares to go that route. It's boils down to what you want and are happy with. Not what others think and what they are happy with......it's your hobby.

very true Sr. 👍

well my man , this was a big piece of the question you left out of the OP. if your goal is doing all sorts of plinking. you will have a blast with most high end guns at factory settings. most modifications owners do is to address a desire to try to EXPAND the capabilities of said gun for purpose hunting. which may be 30-50 yds past ideal distance gun is set at. most adjustments generally try to up power output while maintaining shot count.

Exactly Rangur! And, it's also nice to customize the gun a little so it doesn't look like every other gun out there. That's part of the fun!

Leshiy 25 cal, jsb 25.39 pellet UTG Bugbuster off hand 40.5 yards this took a week to be comfortable with the Leshiy tuned to hit where needed for ethical shot and that I can say was worth the work put in to get the result I thought possible. 764 feet per second 250 bar fill and I could crank it up but I wanted no pass through on the shot. When the 350mm barrel gets here I will be back to tune up tune in mode.

You seem to be much like my brother he thinks everything should remain stock. Me I can see that most things can be better so I set about with the mods I see will improve them as soon as I get them. I have not modded my refrigerator as yet but have modded my car, air guns, computers, some of my powder burners and one of my bicycles with an electric motor so it goes 50+ mph. In the end it's all good whether one chooses to leave things stock or modify them to suit their needs or desires.

For me Daystate Pulsar was like a Mercedes - just fill up gas and drive

The only problem - I have to buy pellets way more often than before

Also, it caused another big problem, I was so spoiled by the quality of this gun, I had to buy one more

this time bigger caliber and nicer laminated stock.

I'm not shooting at any competitions, I'm not chasing any record tight groups - I'm just having fun

Both Pulsars so far flawless - didn't have to do any additional tweaks

I think the only thing to consider is ones limitations. Some of us can probably tune the new PORSCHE and improve it. Others should keep their fingers off of it. Other then that it’s your gun your money do with it what you will.

The original posters point is there should be no need (.which is a valid point of view) but I would suggest that it’s the nature of the beast to at least be tempted..... Its how advancements are made and how things get busted.

Ill admit to being on both sides of this. For the most part I keep my fingers in my pockets I’ve learned to know my limitations

I like to leave my PCPs stock, until I’ve shot it a few months or more. Get to know what she can do as a baseline. Out the box? I’ve been lucky that the 4 PCPs I’ve purchased have suited my needs (plinking, pesting, etc). My latest PCP is highly adjustable, 6 level transfer port wheel, externally adjustable regulator, HS, etc. I use the transfer port selector primarily. At some future point I might try and up the power a bit to try slugs. I’m not as savvy as some here and would most likely “adjust” my gun into a problem.😃
