Is my thinking Wrong?

ok this is just my thinking, i keep hearing/reading about everyone getting these highend PCPs and as soon as they get them having to change this and that, adjust this, tune that. its kind of like buying a porche and it handles like a pinto, if im going to spend that extra amout of money on an airgun i dont want to have to be working on it before i use it. ive always got a new toy and use it right out of the box and expect it to preform at its peak!

If you buy let's say a Dreamline, Crown or Impact from Utah Airguns, you can ask them to tune it to the power level you prefer.....then you won't have to fiddle with it yourself.

So if you want to shoot 18gr JSB pellets at 900fps, just ask them to tune it that way for you. Otherwise you'll get it tuned to shoot them around 870fps.

No one has to tinker with their guns, it's just something we want to do in order to get the performance were looking for in whatever projectile were shooting at the time.

Don’t think of it as a Porsche, think of it as a Toyota Tundra, and then you lift it, new rims with mud tires. Bed liner, side steps , tow package...

Just a way to personalize your gun to your use. And sometimes to pretty it up. And most of the time because is just plain fun messing with it.

I agree with both of these fellows lol. you definitely have to have yourself a good filter when surfing the internet. Do not believe everything you see and read. I cannot shoot a 1 ragged hole 5-10 shot group at 75 yards and never will be able to myself haha. No matter how hard I try. I am doing good to get moa when I am on a roll. (Just an example and just me. )

I understand your thinking. This would usually apply to fx impacts, crown, and dreamline. However, if you get a wildcat, daystate, RAW, and other pcps then they will come from the factory relatively tuned to shoot major pellets very well. You could also go the route of asking companies like utah airguns to tune your gun for accuracy before they ship it out.

Here is my Lifted Leshiy and in a couple days it will be sporting a 350mm barrel in 25 cal and I will tweak it on the chrono and at this time no side step but maybe some led lighting LOL

dont have a chrono and still plinking with my first pcp hatsan bullboss.25 for just over a year now

well my man , this was a big piece of the question you left out of the OP. if your goal is doing all sorts of plinking. you will have a blast with most high end guns at factory settings. most modifications owners do is to address a desire to try to EXPAND the capabilities of said gun for purpose hunting. which may be 30-50 yds past ideal distance gun is set at. most adjustments generally try to up power output while maintaining shot count.
