Is it just me or are the Fx Crown owners "strangely silent and withdrawn?"

Mine is in transit RIGHT NOW! Here is a shot (below) of my .25 cal in blue laminate (I wanted blue or green laminate - I think they are both really great looking!) clamped down at Utah Airguns and being put through the paces.

It's cold here in MN, but that wont stop me from getting this out for a little action over Christmas break. I've been saving a few squirrels for this one...

"Tominco "@T3Pranch try not to be too upset. I’ve been through six other rifles since I got back. And, I’ve been cranking out videos like crazy. I’ve got some exciting stuff coming up soon. 😜
Hey Tom you can make it up to me. Just send me your Crown and I'll return it by April when the thaw comes to the high country. I don't think it would mind being called a "Snowbird Crown". I promise to shoot it every day and when it comes back it should be well broken in with only 10 to 12K rounds fired. :p

Has anyone made a single shot tray for .25 cal Crown? No we have not chronograph mind yet, it is in the plains shortly . Between snow and rain we have not been able to. You would thank a retired old fart in the deep south would have time, but between weather, doctors and honey dos we have had very little time to shoot. We did get four squirrel yesterday before we had to go to the doctor.

"kk4iz"Has anyone made a single shot tray for .25 cal Crown?
I have 2 styles of ss trays for the crown. I would expect one to be released from FX USA. The other was made by a friend who wishes to remain anonymous. The two designs are different than each other and have their own unique pros and cons. Sorry I can't say more. I don't want to speak in anyone's place without permission.

Just let me know when they come available. Merry CHRISTmas
Thanks Warren

"PerkyVal"Tom,
You selling them yet? If so, how much?
I'm not making them.
I have nothing to do with it.
I was just in the right place at the right time and was able to get my hands on both styes. If I had any control over it, I'd be pumping these out in all calibers and offering them to you guys at darn near the cost of making them. I only have 1 true spare at this time and I was holding onto it for Crown #2, whenever it gets here.

Yes, there are probably a number of reasons why Crown owners have been silent. Some of it comes down to, dare I say, burnout on FX Hype and accuracy! I think the Impact did a lot of that. Phenomenal accuracy (Impact) with even more phenomenal accuracy for the Crown.

The Impact was a jump of light years in design. The Crown is better (IMHO) but only incrementally better. Both are phenomenally accurate. The Smooth Twist X barrel is based on the Smooth Twist, and only incrementally better. That quantum leap just isn't there.

FX made the accuracy news so much, people just expect it. If they made a bad gun, that would get massive press, but making another phenomenally accurate gun just isn't news for FX (pretty sad, isn't it?)

Still really loving my Crown. Shot today in the cold and rain. Fortunately I could sit inside and shoot out. I got out to 64 yards today and even with the wind, managed some very respectable groups with JSB 25's.
This is 16 shots at 64 yards with a little breeze and some light drizzle. this gun is stupid accurate if you ask me. yes this is my best group of the day. Others weren't as pretty but still.
