i'm completely feed up with this impact. i'm ready to try something else. has anybody had any dealings with AOA on trade in's? obviosly i don't wanna lose any more money to AOA. any imput would be appreciated.
is it better to private sale my impact or try to work a deal with AOA?

How much of a commision will they require? I would probably sell it privately but I would be up front with potential buyers with whatever problems you are having with it.

Could be wrong but it seems pretty clear they would be selling it to the same crowd you would, it is used, Now maybe the dealer could/would fix whatever issues are driving you nuts ( then again maybe those same issues make it worth MUCH less in trade in ?) and offer it with a warranty which I presume you as an individual wouldn't offer so the profit margin ..................... .
We've seen a few on the used market so ( except for deduction for any "issues" ) you can get a feel for prices, so all that's left is to call dealer and see what they offer price wise.
Also in just the last 2 years or so USED airgun prices have tanked! 3 years ago what would have sold for say $1,000 fairly fast on the used market will hardly bring $500.oo now. They was a time when a good many airguns could nearly be called investments now pretty much like used cars, ouch. At least you've a current year model +) .

i cant seem to hold down any type of group with the .30 cal barrel, the magazine i got in .30 cal works but it doesn't work.it compatable but it's garbage. in the last week it seems to have developed a slow air leak. power wheel has been fixed, and i still couldn't get 850fps out of the 30's i don't know if thats what is affecting the accuracy in .30, it's not the true picatinny spacing. the .30 cal shroud is extremely tight. i recieved my impact in the beginning of dec. it was the 26th made i think? although in .25 it's a varified fly killer at 45 yards. the barrel locking screw was replaced, and the pellet probe locking screw threads are coming apart.

You need to address the issues with AoA and get them fixed rather than "be fed up" with the impact. I would consider after being fixed, throwing it on the used market with the past fixed issues. Seems to me either you have a lemon or something is messed internally. My impact, in .25 cal, has been awesome and have now issues so to speak. From the stand point of someone who likes to tinker with guns, the impact seems quite simple to work on. I almost guarantee you would sell the impact quick on one of the used forum markets. People are still waiting months at this point for one.

My 30 was not much of a grouper unless I shot it around 830 with the 50 grain pellets. I use my 25 most of the time and find it much more rewarding. And u get more pellets in a tin. Sorry your having problems hope AOA gets it worked out for you.

well i've become skeptical of them due to past issue's although they were resolved except one. i just found it difficult to deal with them. thats why i wanted to know if it was just me or if thats a regular thing

Hold AoA's feet to fire.... $1800 for a gun that is a lemon, and that you are not happy with and all the issues. It should be fixed for free.

there did replace a barrel and damaged pellet probe but they didn't have a proper magazine when i bought the barrel so after nearly 3 months of waiting for something i paid for i said **** it send me the 9 shot magazine, well don't be fooled by anybody it will frustrate you to death try'n to make it work. now i didn't buy the gun from AoA but that is where it originated from and i guess where it has to go for any repairs. if i did buy it from them they would still have my money and i'd still be waiting.

My opinion, you've got 3 options.
1) If you're completely forthcoming about it's issues, you'll likely have to discount the gun a fair amount to sell it. Or maybe not so much, they are in high demand/low supply. You won't know until you put it up for sale and there is definitely a bit of a "hassle" factor.
2) You trade it to AOA or wherever and take a hit on trade value, but likely won't have to worry about being nit picked after the fact because of the issues it has. In a sense, you'll be able to walk away from it with little to no hassle and move on.
3) Deal with AOA and go through the hassle of having everything fixed properly under warranty. Once it's 100% it will be more marketable to the public and you will likely lose very little selling it used.
All of them are a trade off in some fashion or another. Do you want to spend time...or money. I just went through a similar situation and was pretty frustrated with a gun and decided it was worth it to me to trade it in and wash my hands of it. Time is not a renewable resource, money is. I walked away happy knowing I had saved myself a lot of time and frustration by trading in.

i guess im just going to have to bit the bullet and go with option #3 then sell it for what i have in it or have the most expensive impact in exsistance. unless AoA wants to make me happy on a trade in.

Agree with Cliff, although I might get banned for saying it. I would force option 3 with AoA. They have to put it right. If you have not been happy for at least 4 months, make them fix it. Be forceful but nice. If they are not helpful, be a dick about it if forced, even if that is against your nature. These folks want the sole business. That comes with everything involved with it. They and FX need to put it right. I hate seeing people outlay a ton of dough for horsepoop merchandise and service.

Ditto! For $1800 they keep it until it's fixed to your satisfaction! No way you should lose money on a gun under warranty that is not working properly!

Yea keep at it until you get it fixed if you have sent it back more than two or three times I would ask for it to be replaced. May not do any good if they don't have one though.

The reason for inaccuracy is related to the customers. They are not aware how the guns should perform. They do not have any access to 50 meters indoors. They watch YT reviews with selected guns producing perfect groups and whenever they cannot obtain that consistency they blame themselves.
My approach is simple. I ask about accuracy in perfect conditions providing the pictures of my indoor 50 meters hall. If the gun cannot produce declared group with different pellets, speeds after cleaning the barrel I send the gun back and receive my money back. If everyone followed that approach the manufacturers would have to produce perfect guns.

You're a pretty amazing guy. Always the first in line to help out. I remember a few years back I posted issues I was having with a new Cricket I received. The thread spiraled down pretty quickly into petty arguing about my poor lack of judgement for posting my problems about a new gun on the forum. You stepped in and turned everything around with one post offering to have me send the gun to you for a full tune. Thank you for continuing to be such a positive influence!
Referring back to that thread, I still don't understand that mentality from some people. When I'm researching a gun, I actually want to hear peoples bad experiences, not just the rosy ones, so that I can make an informed decision before purchasing. Telling people they shouldn't be posting about their issues and to only take it up with the retailer (who in that case was not AOA by the way) is, regardless of other motives, just blocking other peoples access to pertinent information IMHO. I'm not referring to anyone in this thread, I feel everyone here is genuinely trying to help. I guess this is just bringing me back and I'm still bitter about my own experience going through a similar situation and am ranting a bit lol.
Regardless Ernest, your generosity seems to know no bounds and you're an asset to the community. I hope you stay around for a long time, thank you for all you do!
