Is anyone using the MTC Viper Connect scope?

I did a search (which functions really good BTW) but no one has posted pictures of their airgun with this scope.

I really like the idea of the Viper Connect: compact, low, profile, short eye relief, wide field of view, etc. The only thing that concerns me is the scope mount/rings. I see that MTC offers a specialty "Connect Mount" (for dovetail rail). I do not like the idea of just doubling up the rings on the front of the scope. I would like to see some pictures of how other people have mounted this scope. I'm curious if the "Connect Mount" will allow the scope to be position far enough back to get a good cheek weld and eye relief.

My friend had this mounted on a edgun matador and he used it for one day we were hunting he sighted it in very clear I shot it either of us could get used to the fact that u literally have to touch your eye to the scope no eye relief and keep a cheek weld was difficult at best it has a thing on the end moved in and out and u press your eye into it He sent it. Bakc next day just could not get used to it we know the edgun is picatiny and he was able to get it back far enough useing like u said two rings on the front. Did not cause accuracy issues like u think can vouch for as being very clear wide feild of view was just so akward he nor I could get used to it I asked him if happend to take a picture while it was Mounted wait for his reply if he does doubt it unless he snap shot at home cause I was. With him when he mounted it but if so I post for u hope this helps any I don't know about the wildcat I too am trying to keep mine nice and light I will be doin the same thing with my Vulcan that's coming and impact so I'm obsessed with light weight scopes just tried vortex diamond back clarity is amazing for 300 bucks but worry it won't have enough mil-dots for hold over even though using no limit mounts also the mtc is one oz shy of 1.5 pounds 23oz it's heavy! for small scope

I found the eye relief and weld to be spot on perfect for my Bobcat. I tried the rubber eyepiece extender and found it annoying so I never used it.

*Removed "other" scope recommendation*

"Michael"Thanks for the replies. In my opinion MTC should do away with the illuminated reticle / controls and allow for normal rings. I just don't like how it mounts. Plus I don't think that the dovetail rail of the Wildcat extends far enough towards the rear to use the Viper Connect.

I think it will work just fine on the Wildcat but not the Impact. I agree they can do away with the illuminated reticles to make room for normal rings.

Hi Michael. I use the MTC Connect on my bobcat. Used 2 BKL 300 series 30 mm rings. They work well. The eye relief is almost zero and to be honest I like it. The connect has the largest field of view I have seen in a 3-12 scope. The clarity is amazing. The only challenge I see with the scope is the inability to be compatible with the fx no limits mounts. At 150 yards am almost out of clicks on this scope. Since both the rings need to be placed upfront am a bit concerned that if I use the fx no limits mounts ,I won't get much incline since both rings will be pretty much stuck to each other.

Also the cheek weld isn't a problem. Works well. I have it mounted far back and to be honest once I got used to the zero eye relief, I don't feel like going back to the normal scopes. Also holding your eye close to the scope gives me better stability while shooting handheld.

"travels4fun"Back when I took those pictures,I didn't have a 2nd set of rings available so I had to borrow the silver offset rings off my DayState Mk4 Target. I eventually bought some single strap BKL-300 30mm rings which worked fine. NOTE: Double Strap rings will not fit the scope.
Yeah. I almost ordered the double straps. Better sense prevailed because I decided to change my mind at the last moment and go for the single strap rings. They fit the scope perfectly. BKL is a fantastic brand for scope rings. They self centre thereby eliminating the variation in POI when you move from 50 to 75 or 100 yards.
