Iron sight Diana fun in basement.

In my basement I can shoot 50 feet. My target is a 10 meter pistol target. I have a video camera on the paper and a monitor near my shooting station so I can see the hits.

My Diana test rifles are:

1.) Diana 52 with Williams peep sight and aftermarket adjustable iris/aperature. The front sight is a globe with skinney front blade insert. The front sight is custom from Hector. The factory front sight was not a globe.

2.) Diana 34 with fiber optic notch rear and front post.

3.) Diana 340 N-Tec walnut stocked Luxus gas ram with conventional rear notch and front post. The front post tapers to a point. I REALLY like this post shape. It allows "aim small, hit small". I consider it superior to fat square front posts.

After many days of having fun I am most accurate with the Diana 52 Williams Peep. 2nd is the Diana 340 with conventional iron sights. The Diana 34 with fiber optics is really nice for quick acquiring the target in hunting situations. I only practice off-hand and am able to get 1" groups. It has been a lot of fun this winter.

By the way, the Diana 340 is the first gas ram I have owned and I really like it. It shoots like a tuned Diana 34 spring rifle. Soon I intend to put a 12 ft/lb kit in the 34.
