iPhone-X Scope Mount for Hawke Scope?

Hi guys,

Is anyone using just their iphone mounted to their scope? Or to get decent footage do I have to buy a different camera than my iPhone?

The iPhone version I got is the X.

Are the slo-mo shots etc possible from the iphone or do you have to record in real time and then convert to slo-mo?

Just basically wondering if the iphone X is a decent camera for this type of stuff, and if so what mount to get for it?

I'm using an iPhone 8+ with a side shot on a Hawke Sidewinder. I use the built in slo mo on the phone. You shouldn't have any problems using the X

Would you go with the side shot or the rear mount? I guess whats the benefit of either?

Is that the one Utah Airguns have for like $200+?

You do not want any thing that requires aiming thru the recording device. Thrust me I waisted money and had to buy the side shot There is another one which is good. Forget the name but it is even more money. I fooled around with this a lot .

Side shot it is. Don’t think of anything else. The side shot is the least fiddly. Once you set it, it stays that way. I’ve owned multiple variants of the scope cam set ups and the side shot is the best that’s out there.
