Introducing the Umarex Gauntlet 2

Make sure your getting the Gauntlet 2, if not you'll spend plenty upgrading your gun to generation 2 standards. New stock format takes two big drawbacks right out of the picture. I'd like to switch stocks, if possible, that's how strongly I feel about this. Also, first generation Gauntlets in .22 lacked an important barrel support found only on .25. Barrel support found on all next generation. AGN has special section for compressors, tanks, etc., please do search. There is a mountain of very useful information and links, Be careful, as you could end up wasting big bucks. Members have posted warnings and regrets, please take note. Get used to having your wallet on the lean side, this is an addictive and expensive hobby, welcome to it!

Worriedman, Thanks for that tip and I just cancelled my order as pretty sure it was the old model. Is there any other rifles in this price range you can recommend ? I'm kinda looking for a .25cal also but can be swayed . Thanks again

Not that I'd recommend but you'll be amazed at how strongly supported some of them are. Benjamin Maurauder, Avenger and others, come to mind. AGN is full of posts where beginners to PCP ask the same question. Just scroll, looking for topics like; Gauntlet vs. Avenger, Gauntlet vs. Maurauder (Mrod.) Not that I mind, but some of the long timers get frustrated at newcomers showing up asking the same questions, without doing any search work. Think AGN is a great asset and some of these long timers are the best people around, so glad for their help, they can save you money, frustration and heartache. In closing, I'd like to suggest checking out Matt Dubber's Air Gun 101 videos. They will give you a firm foundation and understanding of this hobby, and are not hard to watch. I'm very curious about the fill port on this gun is it on the stock?

On my Generation1, fill port is opposite location of gauge. I suspect this is same on next generation. Looking at picture of Gauntlet 2, find gauge, fill port should be in same spot on other side of gun. Has a black, plastic cap on port so might be hard to see in videos.

If referring to "quick disconnect port," in picture, at rear of stock, videos show this is for attaching sling. Gauntlet 2 sling program is big improvement over first generation. I'd consider switching stocks, if possible and not too expensive.

I like my first generation it just doesn't have enough knockdown power to take an big iguana out at 100 yards

They came out with a new model that his heart is a 25 calibre I would get that 1

LOVE the quality Umarex puts into their products !!!!

Their/my M1A1 is now one year old ... .Approaching 7,000 BBs thru it(98% of them on Full Auto) With Out a single malfunction !

Looks like the gun was improved in many ways. The only thing I see that I don't care for is the length. A gun this long is a deal breaker for me...

My brother has a gaunlet in .22. This has all of the upgrades already on it. Can't wait for it to be out.
