Introducing the new FX Superior STX Liners

So. a bit confused . . .

Is the Superior STX liner intended as a general purpose pellet / slug liner and the Superior Heavy STX liner mainly optimized for heavier (Nielsen and others) slugs?

Thanks

Fairly well put. So the Standard Superior STX is for pellets, hybrids, and possibly some of the lighter weight slugs from other manufacturers. The Heavy Superior STX is for heavier slugs and even some heavier pellets (think Monster Re-designs in .22 / 50gr .30 Cal pellets / etc)

Will new FX rifles going forward be fitted with the superior liners as standard (i.e. replacing the regular STX), meaning you wouldn’t have to pick up an additional liner unless you wanted a “heavy” option for slugs over the 30g mark?

More info to follow in the coming weeks on the above and similar questions. The initial stock of liners has been shipped to sell individually to take care of existing customers wanting to shoot the .25 Hybrid. Obviously at some point existing rifles will be sold with the standard Superior STX liner. Not sure of a timeline at the moment but as mentioned, more info to come soon.

fx barrel in 177 are not as accurate as CZ or LW. only in 177.

A rather sweeping statement! at what velocity and with which pellet? or do you mean regardless?

at 16 Joules nothing compares to CZ200 i had. with JSB 8.44 one hole at 35 yards

Sorry but I don't agree!

Yes I have seen some exceptional CZ barrels over the last 10 years or so, however for every one exceptional CZ there are plenty of very average and also poor ones, a friend has a good AA S200 which has a CZ barrel, but he also has 2 other AAS200 which are not that good!

I say this with the greatest of respect, but being bound by 16J in law and the majority of shooters here using .177 gives us much more exposure than countries where there are no power limits.

So you say you had an exceptional .177 CZ barrel, do you still have it can I ask? I own circa 27 .177 16J rifles, 7 Redwolves, two Ataman M2R BR, 3 FX Crown, 1 FX IMPACT, 2 Dreamlines amongst others, I have no problems currently with any of the FX .177 liners or any of the LW.

Correct we did have some issues initially with the first FX Crowns in 16J .177, but that was found to be almost entirely down to the way the previous UK distributor set up the guns, now we have a new UK distributor SGC, the problems have dissapeared as they know how to set the guns up properly for the 16J market and 100% stand behind any issues without question.

Perhaps you should try a new .177 STX and see what you think, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks.

Any idea when barrel kits for the Crown will come equipped with the Superior liners?

Thanks for that question. I was a little bit confused on that one. As long as FX is responding to questions what are the o-ring sizes that you need to use on the different caliber liners. I am sure they won't be included in the liner purchase. Thanks Bill

Link to an Instagram Q&A that we did today to answer questions about the new FX Superior STX Liner. Hopefully this will answer more questions you have:

Wow - apologies for the obnoxiously large picture...

Well that good new for some people not for me. I ordered a 700mm .25 cal STX Slug Liner on April 5 it has been backordered till today. I received a email that it has been shipped today and the very next email I was notified that the FX Superior STX liners were available. I am pretty sure the dealer new that they were coming out and they could have giving me option to change my order to the new liner seeing the new one came out the same day that they shipped. They could of held my order a day or two and given me the option get the new liner if I wanted to change it. Not that I would have but it would've been nice to of had that option. But I guess that not there MO! Update the liner that was shipped is the New liner!!!

FX,

Superior? lets see some comparison between the current STX slug liner and the new improved "Superior" slug liner. Same slug and same tune... Will the average FX'er see the difference? We need to see some results before we shell out another $110 for another liner..... or it is just another $$$$$?

Prove it too me that its something worth considering.

Your die hard always FX'er
