Introducing the FX Maverick

Am I the only one who thinks this is a dangerous way to attach a sling? Poster says he carries barrel down also. What happens in a downhill fall? Barrel possibly digs into ground causing the carriers weigh to pull on the bottle, which is now being restrained. Doesn't seem like a real good scenario go me.

Seems as safe as carrying depressed muzzle with any other sling apparatus. The pressure to shear the bottle off with the sling attachment during a fall is no more of a concern than falling and hitting the bottle on a fixed object. I like it very nice... 👍

Hola.

Voy por mi primer FX, y estoy entre el Wildcat MK3 y el Maverick.

Sería para caza de palomas principalmente.

Cuál me recomiendan?

Gracias!

Herwat27,

Patrick

Got my new Maverick sniper .30 it shoots great, the trigger is like butter! 30 yards n 50 yards cutting the bullseye out with exact kings 44.5 grain pellets. I put in the Fx hybrid slugs 44.5 and they seem to be spraying! What gives? My hammer adjustment is set at 3 should I go up to 7 or just try each one?
When you get into slug shooting in a large part it is about harmonics. You also need to have the right twist rate and power to get the fps above 900 to get good results for the most part. Most people adjust the harmonics by adjust the velocity in smaller increments of 5 to 20 fps. to get the best accuracy. I always found that to be a hassle. I much prefer to use the FX barrel tuner in either the shroud combination or separate one. Then you just tune to the velocity you want and the adjust the tuner for your best groups. You usually can find a few slug weights and brands that will shoot well and also the ones that just won't group.

I chased 25 cal slugs out of my maverick for a long time. Finally gave up and convertied it to a 30 cal 600. Only shooting hades and exacts. I would get a good group the but it would be high then next group would be low. Enjoying it much more with regular pellets.

Mine shoots the EK pellets great 44.5 grain, might just stick with them n give up on slugs😳
8 mags on a fill, 104 shots plus a little more lol. Shooting 44.75 hades at 912. Reg at 130 bar. I think I may be able to come down a bit. I have the Huma power pellet kit in the gun (14 gram hammer and heavier spring). But I will put it back as it should be from fx. 13 gram huma weight and OEM spring, my 25 came with a spacer. I will try with ans without. The 14 gram hammer is long the 13 gram is a tad longer than the 11 gram that came with it as a 25. I find with the 14g hammer and heavy spring it’s very hard to fine tune the gun and my power wheel is working in reverse. My ocd will not let that stay 🤪
