If you have a lot of damaged skirts this tool woukd be a great idea. I use pellets that have very few damaged skirts, if there were more, I would change pellets....I have had a few rifles that gained a real advantage with pellets having an expanded skirt but just truing the skirt not that noticible in my tests. For those wanting to make a tool, just make a casting from the skirt of a good pellet, then you will have the proper shape for your tool. Whether you have the ability to create these measurements or take it to a shop with a scanner, it would not be that difficult to get the proper shape for each different pellet. Once the dimensions are created, any shop with a cnc machines could make them with not much cost as long as there are a number to be made. Before I retired, the shop I worked at did a number of small odd jobs for the local community, good for business!!!
