Interest in NOE .25 cal & .30 Pellet Molds To Fit FX Magazines & Others

I have both the .25 & .30 Cal NOE pellet molds and was disappointed that I would not be able to feed my FX Crown with the magazine using my own cast pellets.

Who would be interested in molds to cast .25 or .30 cal pellets that are short enough to work in FX or Daystate magazines?

The depth of my FX Crown magazine measures .367" I think a .25 cal pellet with a max OAL of .345" would be good.

Thoughts??

My problem with making molds is will your gun like them. It is not cost effective in my opinion to make a mold, cast some slugs and HOPE they shoot well? If they shoot well for your gun will they shoot well in mine. Matt Dauber, FX and Nelson specialty ammo have been working on such a project already and the first barrels are due out for the FX soon. I wonder how many different molds, different barrel twist rates they have tried to get one they works well.

Throwing a heavy, high BC slug down range might be cool but if you can't hit the broad side of a barn what good are they. For example how many tins of pellets do you try in your guns to get just the right one. In my opinion I would rather buy 100 slugs from Nelson or Rat sniper and see how well they shoot rather than risk all the work of design, testing, redesign, re testing etc.

BigBoreChas, I will count you in the not interested column

Almeidaken, A .375 long pellet is too long. "The depth of my FX Crown magazine measures .367" I think a .25 cal pellet with a max OAL of .345" would be good."

It likes JSB's ...that is not the issue. They make GREAT PELLETS!!!

I would simply like to cast my own.

Cost per pound of .30 cal 50.15gr JSB pellets is about $16.75 USD. A pound of casting lead cost less than $3/lb .Plus I enjoy casting.

Even if you are buying 3 and getting a 4th tin "free" they are still costing $0.09 per round....which puts them higher than .22lr right now.
