More testing with the Hades today, it really really likes them. 28 yards 5 shots at Average 637fps for 14.32fpe. Pinky finger for reference.

She was getting dusty, so took it out for some 25 yard shooting. Was pretty much dead on on the first shot using the Hades, but, that’s not the subject of this update.
This is a 5 shot group with JSB 25.39gr flying out at 438fps average for a UK legal 10.89fpe. Not bad, really. Didn’t measure, but it looks like 3/4” & I think I can do better, maybe, will see.

Wow Christian, 25.39 grain, did each shot sound like a burp or pfffffft. As they said in the 70’s “that’s heavy man”. It’s good to see you sharing the love around with your springers.

My 97k loves the 8 gr. 177 and my 48 groups the 18 gr. 22 great. Jsb pellets for me. Love those things. Each tin might get a slight tweak to the scope but once dialed I can usually get 1 ragged hole rested at 25 yrds. My ocd kicks in if all the holes are not touching and I blame myself not the guns.

Gotta love the LGV platform. Been collecting dust in the garage for a few weeks. Took it out for a spin, didn’t adjust a thing. (Scope is SWFA 10x) 5 shots JSB Hades at 25 Yards. Pinky for reference:

The consistency of the platform is what has impressed me the most. My LGU and LGV are the most RELIABLY accurate air rifles I've ever owned. They can sit for weeks and still hit exactly where aimed on the first shot-something most of my other guns struggle with. At least in my case, other rifles MAY be capable of slightly smaller groups under ideal conditions for each one but none are as consistently reliably accurate as are the Walthers.

Finally getting around to doing some mods, albeit an easy one. Put heat to the steel, removed the Muzzle Weight & added a DonnyFL Tanto. Decided to go with the Bolt End Cap vs the Cone End Cap. Thoughts?

It’s the glue that they use to affix the weight on. I left it on just in case. Can remove by heating and wiping with maybe some alcohol or mineral spirits.
I’m trying to see if I can take her apart soon and do the internals.
