Intenseaty22’s Walther LGV Master Pro .22

Gave a little quality time to this venerable rifle today. This is a 5 Shot Group & 25 Yards. POA was the center , all pellets in a ragged hole. The gun is still in stock configuration.

Yep my LGV master pro does the same thing love shooting that Walther. The only thing I did to the gun replace the trigger tuning trigger, install a spring liner in the piston no more twang, removed the muzzle weight and install a Tanto.

What about the harmonics with that Tanto? Guess you took a chance on that!

Woul love to see the Spring Liner job. Did you get a picture of that?

I saw the LGV you took off the barrel weight and was reluctant to remove it because of harmonics but took a chance, worked out great with the Tanto installed no change in accuracy could be a little better. The piston liner material I got from Amazon Sterling Seal & Supply (STCC) White Virgin Teflon 7530 Sheet, 1/64" Thick, 12" x 12" Square (QTY 1) worked great no more twang.

Yeah, I think my Koi was overkill, so I swapped it for a Tanto myself along with the Carbon Fiber sleeve. But that was on the .177. This one is still a virgin.

Do you wrap the sleeve on the outside of the spring? Got any links to “how to”?

The liner goes inside the piston between the spring and piston so the material needs to be just thick enough to not slow the spring but deaden the sound the spring makes hitting the piston. I went on youtube to get the how to, never done it before but it was easy, the hardest part was getting the spring top hat out of the piston stuck in the bottom to the grease. Just google spring piston liner there's lots of how to videos.

Sorry boys, but I’m still on the Tinkering Team. Just because something is good doesn’t not mean it can’t be better.

Like I said before, I don’t think the gun will be inherently more accurate, but it will be less twangy, a bit less jumpy, smoother to cock, and overall just more pleasurable to shoot.

Will see if and when I do this one or not.

Sweat group. I’ve never heard of those pellets. Things travel slowly to Aus, just don’t ask me if my HW30S has arrived in the country yet. I’d like to see a 10 shot group if that possible because your 5 shot group @ 25 yards was nice.

Christian I’ve just figured it out why this group looks so good, your pinky has put on weight.😂😂😂

Yes all good Christian except for my right shoulder. We have a JohnDeere zero turn mower with a 54 inch cutting deck for mowing around the ponderosa. Last week I took the deck off to fit a new belt and then level the deck. Seems I’ve pulled something in my shoulder putting it all back together. Weighs a ton. Any how I’m now finding it very painful to cock and shoot my HW77 so I’m shooting the LGV for now, much easier to cock.

Anyway I digress. Thanks for the info on those pellets, I wonder what one would look like after shooting at a couple of bars of soap at 30 metres?
