Intenseaty22’s Walther LGV Master Pro .22

Hmmmm, you’ve got a difficult one there. Haven’t tried the H&N FTT yet? It’s amazing how cantankerous these airrifles can be. I suppose I’ve been lucky with my airrifles as they all shoot H&N ‘s albeit different types. Keep on testing.

Gary, I cannot find the FTT pellets. Either I don’t have any, or will turn up later. For now, I’m pretty happy with what the JSBs are doing.

Sounds like a plan. I have my 22’s zeroed at 28 metres, the LGV does have a bit of a loop compaired to the others but at 35 metres its nearly dead on. I don’t shoot at pests any further than this distance with it but the FTT’s still pack a wallop. With its accuracy a head shot on a rabbit at 40 metres would do the job but I don’t want to risk it. The lighter 14 gr pellets seem to run a bit flatter but really in my experience with my three 22 cals at the one 177 there is very little difference over 25 metres.

Looking forward to more group photos.

You should try the Crosman Pointed which are 14.3gr and come in tins of 175 count.

Similar to the CPHP or CP Domed but a slight point to it like a Kodiak or Barracuda.

They shot lights out in many of my 22 springers and were the most accurate pellet in

them and believe me I just about literally tried them ALL.

The CPHPs from Walmart seemed to shoot more consistently than the CP domes FYI.

I have both, the .177 & now the .22. When I received the.177 in full power,( I recommend the 12fpe model) the trigger was really mushy. Now, I’m no trigger snob, but it was bad enough that it prompted me to install a Rowan Engeneering one. Funny thing is, by the time Idid the swap, it had mellowed down a lot. Enough that I wish I had never messed with it. There are trigger mods that you can do on the cheap & I hear work great.

The trigger on this unit is not bad at all. It has a very soft pull all the way up to the wall, then a short pull and it breaks. Frankly, if you are considering the gun, I would say Get It, the trigger is fine.

Soggy day in GA, but have some time for testing, so... This is not an accuracy test of the gun. I was actually having some issues with POI and I’m testing the scope. Target brought in to about 12 yards. Using JSB 16gr this is the ensuing result. I will come back probably tomorrow to test that POI, but in the meantime, off the bag & holding on to gun (no artillery) butt to shoulder straight.

"I was actually having some issues with POI "

Boy I've been down that road a few times, a good scope and mount are the first consideration. My Walther LGV Master Pro .177 11fpe and HW35K 11fpe are the only 2 springers I've ever owned that held POI even on the first shot day to day. There will always be minor adjustments for weather but I hate adjusting a scope every time I shoot, good luck sorting it out.

@Windmill01 I found them! Will give them a go tomorrow. Kinda dark right now in this part of the world.

@Coldair I believe you are speaking of the Destroyers. I have a tin of .177, but not in .22 Will look and see if I can get some later on. Thanks for the tip.

Just walked out at night into my yard and spotted a bunny munching on my priced Fig tree, eating away at the bark.

I saw a post about shooting at night with a lamp, so 💡

Set up a green lamp out there & took some practice shots with 16gr JSBs on my newly built rubber mulch target. Freaking dead on! 0.5 inch group at 25 yards.

Next post tonight may be in the hunting section if the little B@s💩 shows up again!
