Intenseaty22’s .177 HW97K

Thanks guys. Definitely a nice shooting gun. Always wanted one, or two, of these. Getting acquainted with it now. At the ranges I shoot, it’s good to go. Sebastian is not all IN for shooting sports just yet, but I think he is warming up to it. 

Culling pellets today. Blustery rainy day, so no Chrony data, sorry. Some results below. All shots at 25 yards.

These actually shot a little better before. But I’m having trouble with the nut behind the trigger. Shaking like a leaf. Will repeat with the best shooters later.

Gary, I hope you had a great and successful 2 weeks of fishing. Use to be that I could afford to go fishing almost every day. Had a fine, pretty expensive boat sitting in the water just outside of my condo. Airguns have taken that spot now. 


The 97 was in the bucket list, and this one here became available, so...

*Edit: I think there are at least 2 more springers on the list to get. The HW50 and the HW95. 

Yes, Mystique from X-Men. It’s what came to my mind when I saw it in my hands. It doesn’t have spikes, but it stings pretty good, check out the hunting section. 

Often disparaged but I have some guns that shoot them as good as (if not better than) anything else.

I have guns that don’t shoot them very well at all, but I would love for them to shoot them as good as this. At (often) $6/500 at Walmart it’s hard not to love a gun that can shoot these. I literally would shoot nothing else if all my guns liked them. 

Go for it! I dare you!! That would look really fantastic. 

Don’t know if you saw my post under Pellets section, but swing by Walmart and see what you see. My local WM had them for $5.28

Funny you should ask Brad. I was actually asking myself the same question and have plans to do a head to head shootout. Preliminary speaking, I have seen hole in hole accuracy out of the LGV. Wish I had a longer range, would probably be more telling. 
Also the trigger on this gun is better than the Walther, I kinda messed it up a little when I installed the R.E. unit.
