Hi Chuck,

I wonder where did you get the idea to install X barrel to Streamline? 😉

I noted that there is a lot of variation between liners. Some of them get dirty (lead) really fast and accuracy is poor after just a few shots.

I have four A liners and only one is perfect without any imperfections. Others have some bizarre stripes or marks in the bore. Like the "raw" pipe material is not good at all. I'm educated as a "metal material and machine design" engineer and trust me I know a lot of production of metals and material standards, etc... ;)

Those imperfections are not easy to see, you need to have some special equipment or skills to note it. Problem is that liners with those imperfections or marks are not accurate at all !

I even tryed to polish those bad bores but did not get very good results.

That only one liner is really good and shoots like a laser.

Chuck, bummer that so far it's not shooting near as good as your factory ST barrel. You might polish the liner with some Mothers or JB BP. It's always seemed to do my guns some good. Hopefully you'll get it going your way and it'll shoot they way we expect because I was really wanting one for my Crown. Keep us posted.

Oh BTW, what speed were you shooting the B liner at?

Hey chuck, thanks for another awesome write up! I am sorry about your end results but I must ask... Have you done the extensive tunning and adjusting that you did to your ST barrels? I have been following your work for a long time now and I know you went through lots of trials to get where you are. Maybe your magic beans aren't magic for the X barrel and maybe those high reg pressures and velocities just don't work for the X. Don't go selling tent posts just yet!

Best of luck

Dan
