Installing a Regulator in an FX400

So is this something doable by one? AoA sells/installs them but I am fairly good mechanically and comfortable working on my AGs. Has anyone done this to an FX 400 in particular and how much is there to doing this oneself? Is there any documentation on this process? Just trying not to have to ship the AG to minimize the chance of something happening while in transit and shipping costs. I guess I could make the phone call to them and ask but thought I would put this out there to see if others had done this.

Like you, I was afraid of shipping damage or someone else marking up my gun so I opted to do the reg install on my FX500 myself.
There are several downloads on the fxairguns.com web site that have a parts schematic and regulator install guide. You will need a different valve pin and seals as well, to work with the reg,. but aoa can help you there. If you can, talk to Steve in their repair shop, he will set you up with what you need.
You will also need to drill a 2mm vent hole in the bottom of the receiver ( the install guide will show you where).
