Congratulations to "Up North Airgunner" for coming up with the best new slugs for hunting with Big Bore Airguns! The way you thought your way through the problem and the novel solution you came up with is nothing short of amazing! You have my vote for the Novel Prize of the Year Award! 😃

    All the best, Chuck

Two pounds of slow-cooked pulled pork, three+ watermelons,  a gallon of ice tea?  You should have shot two packages of buns to fill out the package!

You essentially murdered a large picnic!  The horror…..the horror………..

On the other hand, I'd hate to be eating grass in the woods somewhere, and get gored by one of those saber-toothed slugs!  Good thing I don't care for grass!!!

I'm sure they will shoot without the coating but there will be some air loss through the gap (because I've seen it shooting lead .451 ACP bullets in my Texan vs the same weight .457 bullets. Not much but there must be some blowby) so sourcing either that coating or a similar replacement would be nice.

What about putting these great slugs in sabots and shooting them out of a big bore airgun…same as shooting bullets in sabots out of a muzzle loader with the same twist rate? The ballistic coefficient of the 265 grainer shown above is .173…compared to…?
